Roof Rage

In short
If you like Street fighter and/or Super smash bros. you'll love this game. Its not hard to learn but its difficult to master.
In long
Roof Rage is a great game. The characters have interesting and varied mechanics and movesets that are sure to fit anyone's play style. You wont be using a lot of complicated special moves but combos are still possible and avoidable with parries, blocking, grabs and projectiles these different options complement the different win conditions this game has, you can defeat opponents by depleting their health or knocking them off stage, the less health you have, the farther you get knocked back.
The controls are tight and technical, every character feels mobile and agile, even if they're on the slower side. there's plenty of movement options that give players positioning power, combo potential and escape opportunities and there's a fair but generous wavedash and airdodge that you can combine with teching to traverse stages.
The stages are just as varied and unique, they're small enough to force player interaction without feeling claustrophobic and big enough to get some breathing room without allowing players to run and hide.
However, all games have flaws, including this one
There's no tutorial and the practice mode is lackluster, this game is fairly easy to learn but if you're not used to fighting games, especially platform fighters, you may have a harder time grasping the deeper and more technical mechanics.
There's not a lot of online players so unless you have friends to play with you'll most likely be playing arcade, practice or local matches with CPUs, the Ai is pretty good but the playerbase, like most fighting games, isn't very big.
In conclusion
Roof rage is a great game, its a blast with friends and very enjoyable alone. Whether you're looking to get into fighting games or you already know the ins and outs, this game is a solid addition to any game library. I highly recommend it.

kinda fun to play alone, game is buggy at times. patches and updates are stopped by the developer, and the community doesn't play multiplayer much. The game isn't worth the money if you don't play the game with friends, or alone (the campaign)

I'm not that much into smash brothers type games and I'll probably not be playing this one a lot but I beat story with the muay thai guy and it was fun. This type of game is much better with mates and if mine had this I'd probably play it with them from time to time. They did a great job on making the gfx look like something out of the early 90s. it really feels like an alternate reality street fighter 2 in style.

Pretty fun game if you can look past some bugs.
Most apparent issues are probably:
- Controller triggers didn't work properly for me ( Fixed it by rebinding them to input a different button in steam's controller config.)
- Game resets my language to my (very poorly translated) system language everytime it is started.
There's certainly more issues than this, but this game is pretty enjoyable at its core.
Get it on sale and bring a friend!

Really fun platform fighter. The buttons are simple enough that new players can get right into the game, but once people learn the buttons. The game has layers. I was surprised to have so much fun.

Fun game! Like the vibe and the art style.
Got all achievements :D Some characters are stronger than others (it's easily visable as they have some easy combos and can do a lot of damage).
If you like Super Smash Bros / Brawlhalla / MultiVersus then you will like this game ;)
