Revolve is a Physics based Action/Puzzle Platformer. You play as Reevo, drone on wheels who is trying to escape a dystopian world. You can use speed boosts, brake, jump or switch gravity. But you don't control Reevo directly! Each of these 4 actions requires energy. Reevo's energy refills automatically, but slowly, so it's important to time your actions and see how he reacts in the world. It's basic physics: you trigger the action & Reevo reacts in the world… Trigger actions & reaction…

Revolve plays like it states on the tin, a minimalist inertia based platformer. You control a space bike traversing ever more challenging levels from left to right (essentially only in that direction) by providing input to it's primary/jump thrusters, brake, and some sort of gravity inverter.
It's designed to be played in self contained stages that realistically take only 2 minutes to clock each. The physics behave intuitively enough to effectively time leaps over deadly red glowing exposed power conduits (that make up the only hazard I've discovered so far), and yet it's compact layout, lack of time limit and gentle vangelis-esque soundtrack keep this simple premise from being either too frustrating or straight boring.
It's not a title to immerse yourself in, and here-in lies my only complaint. The soundtrack stops jarringly after each death returns you to the begining of the stage; and I personally think it'd add something to the gameplay flow if the low key track just strummed away regardless of your untimely demise and immediate ressurection. That's a pure stylistic observation on my part though.
Pros - relaxing title that tests your hand eye co-ordination in a lushly drawn 2d space world. Perfect for someone looking for down time from more grueling games, Revolve requires minimal time investment to become accomplished at and the bite sized levels mean you can put it down and pick it up whenever.
Cons - lack of enough time in each stage to enjoy the soundtrack, and after an hour or sos playtime im yet to discover any change in aesthetic/stage backdrop.

Where to start.....Revolve is awesome! Beautiful colors, great sound track, levels progress with difficulty nicely, and just an overall blast. Challenging but relaxing at the same time, if that makes sense.
My only grip would be is the mechanic of when you need to jump and use your boost, seems like both are drained together even when you only use one.
Now this is probably coded this way for a reason to make it more of a challenge, but its gets a little frustrating at times.
Other than that, the game is def worth it!

I had the honor to beta-test the game and I absolutely loved it from the first time I tried it!
• The gameplay feel familiar yet very refreshing with the indirect controls
• Level design is very polished
Just give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!

First off, I have to admit that I am horrendously bad at these games. They definitely aren't my forte, as the horrendous playthrough in my First Impressions video will attest. And because of that, I am normally more critical of these types of games than others. That said, I had a blast with this game and I look forward to playing more!
Smooth and well done graphics underscore a basic and yet intriguingly simplistic control mechanic. The Devs obviously took a lot of time and care on their level design and the variety showed off their creativity.
And, as a rare surprise, and I can't believe that the industry has gotten to such a point that this actually IS a surprise, but the game ran fantastically well. No glitches, stutters, framerate drops, or crashes to be found. The game is well polished and a joy to play.
One CON, because every game has them: no rebindable keys... Of course, there are only 4.... but they should be MY 4! :P
8/10 - Fantastic Game!

Revolve is an excellent Triggeractive platformer and offers you seventy levels for you to solve, divided into ten chapters. The game's graphics and soundtrack are beautiful and complete the whole sci-fi dystopian world of Revolve. While chapter one is fairly easy to complete and is a good way to get to know the abilities of your drone, the chapters after that become more and more complicated by the minute. So yes, Revolve is a really cool game and more than decent challenge for every puzzle fan out there!

Revolve was showcased @ Indigo 2017 by Dutch Game Garden. Bought the game the same day to play it with my son. Nominated the game for the Steam 'Defies Description' award.

First impressions:
The game looked really great from the trailer and screenshots, so I figured why the heck not? It was also interesting to me that apparently you don't control the robot directly and it has "triggeractive" controls!
Revolve looks incredibly visually appealing, combined with potentially interesting controls... so let's give it a go!
It's not *too* bad, certainly fun for killing time when you have a few minutes to spare!
