An Insurance Adventure with Minimal Color In 1802, the merchant ship Obra Dinn set out from London for the Orient with over 200 tons of trade goods. Six months later it hadn't met its rendezvous point at the Cape of Good Hope and was declared lost at sea. Early this morning of October 14th, 1807, the Obra Dinn drifted into port at Falmouth with damaged sails and no visible crew. As insurance investigator for the East India Company's London Office, dispatch immediately to Falmouth, find means to board the ship, and prepare an assessment of damages. Return of the Obra Dinn is a first-person mystery adventure based on exploration and logical deduction.

I wish I could erase my memory and play this game again and again. Every two years I forgot enough to replay it, but it will never be the same.
Great story, great art style and unlike any other game I played.
The soundtrack is a piece of art, just like the game, and I keep listening to it.

One of the best games i ever played in terms of storytelling. From the start to finish it captures your attention and imagination as you try and find out what happened to the ship.
The artstyle is in my opinion a big part of what makes the game this good. I would say this game is an absolute hidden gem on steam.

Ich hab das Spiel schon auf der Nintendo Switch durchgespielt wenn auch damals mit ner Guide, weil mir damals viele der Rätsel zu schwer waren. Das Spiel ist aber wirklich großartig mit einer wundervollen Umsetzung der Rätsel und dem Vorgehen beim Lösen dieser. Mit jedem weiteren Todesfall/Schicksal auf diesem Schiff will man nur mehr und mehr die ganze Geschichte erfahren. Auf jeden Fall spannend bis zum Ende. Ein Muss für alle, die Rätsel liebe.

Großartige Spielidee und tolle Handlung, die Atmosphäre schafft. Zwischenzeitlich aber bleibt man immer wieder stecken - leichter Frustfaktor. Spielmechaniken sind nicht sonderlich intuitiv.

I begin with one word: BRILLIANT!
This game is so creativ in many ways like the storytelling or the mechanic to solve the cases. Every time you get the next three right fates you feel like Sherlock Holmes and you want to solve the next fates. Very motivating and a lot of fun. For everybody who likes claiming riddles!

Great game, graphic takes some getting used to and some minor issues like being locked in visions for too long are annoying but do not take away from the intruiging story and nice riddles.
It is really cool to go back through memories and notice small stuff that suddenly make sense and reveal a new identity!
