The brightest minds of the Luminn Corporation gather to discuss the future of Terra. The Synths, an artificial intelligence, are created to steer civilization from collapse. The new AI devises and implements The Biodome Safety Project, encasing the world’s cities in massive domes to protect its inhabitants. Within a short time, the uncertainty of the future seemed to vanish… until the Synths violated their ethical code embracing a new name, the Dark Synths, and revolted against the Terrans.
Follow the story of Atlas, an ex-scientist turned soldier, who takes up arms to fight after his family and hometown were destroyed by the Dark Synths. Since the AI War began, the Dark Synths have continually adapted to most of the conventional weaponry of the Terrans and are now nearly invincible to most of their attacks. However, a new weapon is ready to be put to the test. Ionian researchers and engineers have fabricated a new, state-of-the-art weapon, the Resonant Blade. The user of this sword is able to modulate its sonic energy in order to bypass the Dark Synths’ defenses. With the Dark Synths replicating and growing in power, the time to fight back is now. Find out why the Synths suddenly betrayed their creators and put a stop to the Dark Synth threat once and for all.

Resonant Blade is an Action Adventure Hack n Slash where you go against the uprising of the Dark Synths army and stop their plans to destroy your planet Terra.
The game uses a color switching mechanism with your blade, where you have to match the same color of the enemy infront of you to deal the proper damage. It will require your quick reaction and fast thinking to get out of tight situations like enemy groups swarming against you.
There are lots of puzzles in each screen throughout the biomes you will visit during your missions. the controls play very well except there are few minor bugs but nothing to stop your progress in the game. The dev is working hard non stop at fixing those issues.
The retro soundtracks and music is a nostalgia with the cyberpunk and robots theme. It will give you an enjoyable gaming experience.
The boss fights are super nice and strategic where you will need to use your fast color switching of the blade as well as quick reactions otherwise you can get overwhelmed very quickly.
This is an amazing game made by a solo developer and needs more attention. Recommended for the fans of the genre.

Battle a robotic threat using a resonance-based blade in fast-paced, strategic combat that blends dashing, scanning, and switching energy types to exploit enemy weaknesses and solve puzzles.
You play as Atlas, a soldier thrust into a critical mission to stop a robotic uprising that threatens all life. The mission quickly turns personal when your commanding officer is obliterated in front of your eyes. The devastation shakes the squad, and hope starts to dwindle among your fellow soldiers.
In the midst of this chaos, your commander entrusts you with a powerful weapon, the titular blade that is the only tool capable of cutting through the robots’ nearly indestructible armor. Its unique edge lies in how it operates through resonance, a type of energy that vibrates on specific frequencies to breach robotic defenses.
The gameplay follows a familiar action-adventure structure. You control Atlas using straightforward movement, a single attack button, and a dash ability. The dash move is a core part of both combat and exploration, allowing you to evade enemies and leap across environmental gaps. Falling into pits or off platforms doesn’t result in instant death, but it will drain some of your health. A minor but noticeable issue arises when dashing too quickly, as the screen’s camera may not be able to keep up. This delay can result in accidental falls because you won’t see what’s in front of you.
Combat is centered around the concept of resonance, a unique mechanic that governs not just how you fight but how you interact with the game world. Each resonance type is associated with a specific color, and enemies and objects in the environment also resonate with these frequencies. You can switch between resonance types at any time. If your blade's resonance matches that of your enemy, your attacks will inflict significantly higher damage. Attacking with a non-matching resonance causes close to zero damage.
To identify an enemy’s resonance, you use the scan function. Pressing the scan button will create a circular field around your character, highlighting enemies in colors that indicate their resonance. While the scan range is limited, it covers nearly half the screen, making it good enough during combat.
You start the game with three resonance types, and you will get three more when you progress far enough and beat bosses. This system adds a layer of strategic depth to combat encounters because you rarely deal with only one color. What’s more, some enemies and especially bosses switch color during a battle, so you have to pay attention to deal the maximum damage.
Resonance also plays an essential role in puzzle-solving and exploration. Certain doors, crystals, and obstacles can only be interacted with if you strike them using the correct resonance. There are walls that require a resonance-matched dash to pass through, and enemy projectiles can be reflected back at their source if you hit them with the right color.
Projectiles appear neutral at first but reveal their color once they enter your scan radius. Fortunately, you can block them regardless of their resonance once they're within range. Timing is crucial, however, as blocking requires precise input. Adding to the challenge is the fact that the block command shares a button with the dash. If you’re not careful, attempting to block while moving may result in an accidental dash, possibly sending you over a ledge or into danger.
Striking an enemy with the correct resonance causes them to drop colored orbs. Collecting three orbs of any color enables you to heal yourself. You can also gain orbs by successfully blocking projectiles. Over time, you’ll collect several triads, special combinations of three different colored orbs that trigger unique buffs or abilities. There are twelve combinations in total, each with its own purpose, and they become accessible as you progress. The game conveniently alerts you when you’ve collected a valid combination with a visible message.
Enemies drop resources upon defeat, and these enemies, along with destructible crates and other minor objects, will respawn when you leave and return to an area. This makes farming for resources relatively easy, though it also means backtracking can become repetitive, especially because some switches reset. This becomes less of a problem once you’ve unlocked all resonance types.
The inventory system comes with a limitation. While you can collect an unlimited number of resource types, you can only hold nine of each individual resource at a time. For instance, if you already have nine microprocessors, you won’t be able to pick up more of them until you use or sell some. Any unused resources can be sold at stores, and the money earned can be spent on new items or upgrades. However, even your currency is subject to a cap. This limitation can be frustrating when you’re forced to leave money behind simply because you’re carrying too much. Still, the design encourages regular spending.
At certain points or when you reach a teleporter, you can return to the city. Here, you can take on side quests, visit shops, and use workbenches to craft and upgrade gear. Side quests are usually simple fetch or delivery tasks, while the shops sell useful resources found both in the city and during missions. Crafting new gear requires schematics, which are found through story progression or on the black market. While there aren’t many gear options, each piece can be upgraded using materials to improve its effectiveness. For example, grenades, which are essential for opening certain paths, start with a three-use limit but can be upgraded to six.
The city is small, but navigating it can be confusing at first. There’s no map, so you’ll need to memorize locations of key areas. Additionally, entry and exit points aren’t marked, which can cause further disorientation. There are also no objective markers or quest guidance, so paying attention to dialogue and environmental cues is essential. Although the path forward is more or less linear, it’s very easy to forget where you’re supposed to be going.
