I feel that this game is an easy one to start with. The mechanics are extremely simple, but the game itself is rather complex and challenging. I think that my mother (50s) could play this game with relative ease, but it entertains myself as well. Very engaging but not overwhelming.
☼ Graphics ☼
The graphics are very simple, but elegant. The entire game is rendered as cards, with the exception of a few special scenes. You go through the deck like reading the tarot of your life. When you encounter special occurrences in the game, without giving spoilers I can say that it's definitely immersive and it had be taken aback the first time I came across one.
♬ Music ♬
I can't really remember much about the music of the game, so it must not be something super impressive. Although, I definitely give the game a plus for the quirky unintelligible voices.
☠ Difficulty ☠
The actual mechanics of the game, as I said, are very simple. You literally click -left- or -right-. These make these yes/no decisions throughout the game, and in each reincarnation these decisions will affect your life expectancy, lifestyle, and eventually your death. The complex part is keeping up with the story and solving the puzzles. There will be cards that almost don't make sense, and after about 5-10 lives it may start to come together. You'll learn fragments of characters in the game, unlock new encounters, and try new methods. The fun part about this one, is IIRC the Kings edition did not include horoscopes.
Each reincarnation comes back as a different horoscope. This adds an additional level of complexity to the game as some decisions, lives and results are available *only* as that horoscope. If you life too long, or live to short, you could ship or lose it and have to make your way back around the clock to come back.
§ Bugs §
I have not encountered a bug in the game yet
☯ Story ☯
The story is very confusing at times. It's definitely a puzzle, and it's one I haven't entirely figured out yet. In fact- I honestly feel that I am just now starting to really explore the story.
⚔ Gameplay ⚔
As simple as it gets! The story of each life is very short. Maybe 10 to 30 minutes, depending on your ability to survive. The thing is, after each death, you gain new knowledge, or feel an urge to try again. With that feeling, I usually end up playing this game for a couple hours at a time.
I have played I think ~100 hours on steam, and countless others on the mobile app (lol probs a couple hundred) and have not come close to solving the story. I'm usually pretty bright, but this one stumps me. I have no idea how long it will take me, but I imagine a couple more hundred hours.
$ Price / Quality $
The price is very worth it. I don't remember how much I paid for this game, but if I had to buy it again to play it, I would pay $15 at most. Since it's such simple gameplay, I don't feel the need to pay for flashy graphics- but it *does* provide countless hours of fun.

This is a fun little kingdom simulator, for about an hour-and-a-half. After that, it quickly overstays its welcome and becomes very monotonous.
The gameplay is very simple. You play as a queen, and you are presented with a picture of a character and some dialogue. You can respond by swiping left or right, and then you move on to another picture and another decision. Your decisions influence the game, and you have to balance four stats carefully: Piety, popularity, authority, and economy. If any one of those stats gets too high or too low, you will most likely be killed off.
While certain events will add new cards to the deck, which adds more variety, before long you start seeing the same events over and over, and the gameplay just gets repetitive. Too few events to cycle through, and really easy death by unexpected means (I got trampled by adoring subjects with flowers all too often) leads to a tedious experience in the long term.
However, it's a very cheap game that doesn't pretend to be more than it is. I paid $1.50 for it, and I certainly got a $1.50 worth of enjoyment out of it, and I will probably check out the Game of Thrones version now that I've tried this.

Originally played this game on my phone, and played it for so. Many. Hours. There's so many endings and things that can happen, you could spend forever just solving the mysteries and secrets of the game.
Thankfully, everything carries over whenever you die. Any items you collect, people you meet, branches you unlock (in the form of more "cards" to swipe through), are all set up with the next queen who takes the throne. It's quite handy for one of the special endings that requires your queen be born under a specific sign of the zodiac! Endings like that kept me coming back for more, trying my damndest to make the stars - literally - align for me.
It doesn't get tiring at all, honestly. The humor keeps it fresh, and there's many ways to keep yourself from the chopping block anytime your stats get too imbalanced. Spray someone with perfume here, try to shoot someone there...
But yeah. Basically, the game involves swiping and maintaining a balance of four stats: piety, courteousness, strength, and finances. If you tip the scales in either direction for any of these stats, you'll find yourself dead, or worse. Thankfully, before you actually swipe, the game will give you a general idea of what stats will be affected by your choice.
The quirky and insane characters, hilarious misadventures, seemingly endless opportunities (I didn't see too many repeats of events until I had most of the achievements), and achievements/endings kept me playing for a week. At its price, it's definitely a steal.
