Edit: The Dev got back saying that this is indeed early access.
Original Review.
I felt like a starcraft space marine fighting in the gears of war world.
The Good.
Visually stunning.
A fun movement mechanic that encourages on the fly firing.
Strangely decent voice acting.
Left me wanting more.
The Bad.
This is a demo... It's about 8-15 minutes depending on if you just rush through the objectives or explore a little.
About a third of that are cutscenes where you have no control.
While the game is beautiul, there is fog everywhere, obscuring anything more than about 100 feet from your character.
The Ugly.
This demo costs 99 cents... not a bank breaker, but the end throws up a banner saying the game will release early 2018, meaning that this is either a promo demo... that you have to buy. Or, as I am hoping, but probably isn't, basically an early access launch, where if you jump now, you get the full thing when it releases.
If your arms are longer (as mine are) or shorter than that of the character, you can expect some very strange interactions.
Many times I would reach for something, only to find that while I could reach it no problem, the characters hand stopped about 6 inches before mine.
This is one of those games where I wish there were yes or no conditional options in steams recommendations.

This is $0.99. The developer says it will be a full game in 2018, and I really hope they deliver. For your .99 you get about 10minutes worth of gameplay. I played it on the rift and the prompts are for the vive controllers ( was to be expected, it doesn't say the rift is even supported, but it works just fine once you figure out what button to press ). I was really shocked with the graphics, everything looks great ( especially the robotic arm ). It's not the most well optimized experience though, and I did experience a little stutter ( it is a demo though, to be fair ). I have paid more, for full release games, that I enjoyed less. hopefully this will turn into something awesome.

Mixed review score? Say what? This was some excellent, graphically lush VR! It's just a shooter or whatever, and a short experience, but for only a dollar, it's incredibly generous for the amount of work put into this.
I really liked the spin on the teleport locomotion. First, instead of a discreet blink, theres low-gravity or something and it fires off like a grappling hook and you jump there. Like your were on the moon. That's polish right there, and this kind of visual feedback really helps immersion for those who are otherwise bored with telportation. Second, this is made more immersive by coordinating the limiting of its usage with the game itself. Like, in this, you can teleport around an area, but to advance to the next area, you have to deploy some techno gizmo that drops to the ground and does a cool sci-fi scan of the area and then you and your space marine friends can advance.
Looking right now, it appears development is continuing, its not just a early access one-off. I doubt it will become a 2 hour long triple-A space marine romp, but if it does, you can get it now for only a dollar! The ten minutes you get is so dank, it's a no brainer. Anyone who rated this negatively doesn't know spit about VR content. So say I. Not to be confused with the 'Repo Ant', an insect who, having right of ownership of the property in question, takes the property back from the party having right of possession without invoking court proceedings.

I absolutely love the graphics, story, and feel of this game. By far the best VR visual gaming experience I've had on my HTC VIVE. Short... but enough to have me drooling for the full release.
PROBLEM: I got to run through the demo round one time and now it freezes just after the landing, about where you learn to grab the gun off your back. Can't get past it. Hoping you developers are reading this and can point me to the fix. Or alternatively, can I delete and reload to solve the problem? Not going to rate until I figure that out, but other than that, it's going to be a 5 star experience!

Just tested Reboant for the first time. It's really early access but you can see the potential of this game, so totally worth the 1 €. Playtime is about 10 minutes for the tutorial mission. Even though it states Vive as VR headset, it works fine with the Oculus Rift. If it wasn't for the unplayable framerate I would definately show this to guests who test my Oculus Rift. Looking forward to future tweaks and updates.
pros:
+ great graphics
+ immersive level/world
+ interesting story
+ gears of war look and feel
cons:
- bad performance - even on low settings and 0.8 resolution scale barely playable on an AMD rx480 (maybe a "very low" present could be integrated?)
- arm angles slightly off with touch controllers of the Rift (not officially supported)
- no free locomotion (teleport works fine though)

This actually had me very excited. The begining was anoying and a bit of a turn off for me. You stat off in whats like an escape pod. There you have a new game optiion and settings... You start the new game.
New game takes place in the same pod, then it goes though a bit of a story opening. I wasnt listening at this time. But then it lands than loads the new scene.
This is where it took off, the actual gameplay! The pod has landed, there are three other pods. The team is in front of you, they have experience with this, you do not. You look around. Fog is in the distance, fires are seen and your team leader starts giving orders then comes over and adresses you. Tells you to get your gun.
The moment your gun is drawn thats when the herd of aliens come in like a wave shooter, everyone is shooting and you quickly learn the ropes when it comes to your gun.
Then the team leaves you to catch up, You go deeper into the fog to activate or deactivate the becons, all while the alien creatures come out of nowhere upon you.
At this point you imagine, if these creatures were bugs it would be like you steped into a scene from StarShip Troopers.
You catch up to the team and you hide and take note of a giant creature in front of you. It is at this time you know this is awesome!
Shortly afterwards the demo is over and you forgot you are not part of an elite squad on an alien planet to kick ass, but you are a overweight kid serviving on piza till your next pay check in an empty apartment room with a vive upon your head. lol
I look forward to this game. Definetly a dimond in the rough.

Superb! not normally a teleport fan, but it works here. Could maybe speed up the glide in telelport a bit as CC for devs. The arm movement is very good, some of the best ive seen with the elbow movement. Graphics are great, but the writing seems a little out of focus, no major issue though. Once i found the sweet spot using left hand to steady the gun hand, and give better LOS down the barrel, it really brings out how nice this game is. I'll witrhout doubt be investing when it reeleases in the new year.
