Pretty fun and basic game. if your going for your first farming game i think this one is the one to go for, then go over to fs 19 or cattle and crops. This game explains every thing you need too do and you dont look like a question mark when you start the game.
the reviews now are mixed, i think most of the people that leave this a bad review thinks that it is as good at fs 19. now this game is a lot cheaper than fs, not that it is cheap! i would recommend that you buy it when it comes on sale.
Overall 7/10

I cannot understand why the reviews for this game are so bad; I can only assume the majority of people went into this thinking it was going to be Farming Simulator 17 but better and it's just not...
Unlike the Farming Simulator series Real Farm is not pretending to be a Simulator, it is a fully fledged SimCade title with Simulation elements included.
Seriously this is Farming Simulators biggest competitor right now. Think about it;
- Cattle & Crops is a hardcore Farming Simulator & FS17 cannot compete. I doubt FS19 will either, Giants are too lazy.
- Pure Farming isn't out yet (for at least another week).
- Professional Farmer wasn't ready for release.
- Then there's Farm Expert...
- Farmers Dynasty is Great...but a totally different gaming approach.
So this game is not perfect, it has a few bugs and glitches that do need to be sorted. The UI and controller interface is good & bad (needs some adjusting) and of course there are no BIG names included here.
But if you have an XBOX controller & you just want to chill out, play a career as a farmer then this is spot on.
== GOOD ==
- It's very beautiful, especially sunrise and sundown.
- It runs very well (4k @60FPS).
- Detailed field + Soil management (Much better than FS17 without mods!). Adds so much more complexity.
- The tractors & Equipment are very realistic and nicely modelled.
- Career mode....how long have we asked Giants for this?
- The city/town layout along with the graphics is great!
- Tiredness, you have to sleep!
- Realtime economy.
- Realistic pricing of jobs, equipment and property.
== BAD ==
- Some tree popping occurs.
- Lighting although excellent; does occasionally bug out for a second or two.
- Sometimes equipment can have a glitch session (But that never happens on FS17 does it????????? lol ).
- No licensed brands.
- Not enough machinery...DLC's could fix but the price MUST be very fair.
- No Chaff.
- Limited worker functionality.
- Basic Livestock management.
- No MP.
- Vehicle indicators (This was just a terribly bad decision - I think we all know it).
- No Modding (This is the biggest issue, FS17 is just crap without Mods...Similar issue here).
- No working mirrors.
== CONCLUSION ==
The good bits are exceptionally good and let's not forget this is SOEDESCO’s first crack at a Farming (Sim). Compare this to Farming Simulator 2008-13 and I am 100% certain this is the better game by a mile!
Most of the Bad points relate to lack of Simulation elements, but it's really not trying that hard to be a Simulator IMHO. This is a Simcade for relaxed Farming experience and I think it has done a fantastic job at that.
IMHO I prefer the Simulation aspects of Cattle & Crops everytime but Giants insulted the entire community with their Train inclusion in 2017 and lack of development, this could very possibly become a genuine competitor.
I hope, I really do hope there is a Real Farm 19. If they improve on all the Really Good bits here & tweak or fix the missing parts & add modding to the game, this could blow FS & Giants out of the water.
Thank you for reading.

EDIT: Canginging my review from "Not Recommended" to "Recommended". I decided to Give the game another go after reading the news of uptates and It's like a totally different game now. Amost everything I complained about in my original review has been fixed and they even completely revamped the map and it looks great now instead of just a big, flat empty map. There are still some bugs like some equipment won't attach to your vehicle and the only work around Iv'e found for that is to save, quit, and come back in then it will work. There are some strange lines that go through some of the fields that you can fall thorugh and get under the map and also the tunnels at the end of the map you can just drive through and fall right off the map, but they are doing weekely patches to this game which is fantastic and each update is pretty big and I expect those things to be fixed very soon. I will say this game probably should not have come out when it did and obviously needed a few more months of work or at least should have been sold as an early access game and not a full release, but if you have any interest in farming games this is now a pretty good game to pick up.
ORIGINAL REVIEW.
Absolutely awful. In the past year I have discovered the Farming Simulator games and fell in love with them. So once I heard about this game I was pretty interested. I bought it and refunded it within an hour. It's horrible. Best way I can describe it is, it feels like it's still in the pre alpha stage of development or a $5 android game. The textures won't load in until your about 5 feet away from what you're looking at, if you let go of the accelerator when driving no matter how fast you are going you instantly stop, the sounds of the tractors are like a dying vaccum cleaner, the turning raidus on all vehicles is terrible, nothing will steer as far as you need it to go, everything lookls like it's gliding off the ground, and I can go on and on with the problems this game has but I won't. Instead I'll just say this, for $40 the developers are out of their mind and have a lot of guts selling something like this that is this bad. If you haven's played a farming game before just go buy Farming Simulator 17 or if you already have it and are looking for something else, Look into Pure Farming 18. It's not out yet at the time of this review but it should be soon and looks like a good contender for farming games.

Real Farm as far as i can see is a VERY realistic impression of operating a farm, whilst trying to be a 'game' and 'fun'. I don't know if the game can be both. I struggled with trying to find this game fun and entertaining. Don't get me wrong its a very very nice looking game, but It's missing that fun factor. It's very much like Microsoft flight simulator a very very realistic game but unlike the flight sim counterpart it's just lacking the fun factor.
I personally gave this game a 10/$25, It just took to long to get anything done, it wasn't as entertaining as it could be, and finally even though I try to be as objective as possible its just not my sort of game.
I did a full video review here:

seems like an ok farming game. no steering wheel option lets it down if it had support would give the game a whirl.

Nice game, 60 fps V-Sync On. Music is nice, graphics is nice. You can drive the tractor from the outside or inside and you'll probably use both views. Clean easy to use interface.
Maybe it's too early to recommend but judging from the steady fps and really no trouble at all with SMT on and running on all 8-cores & 16 threads; looks good to me. Default graphics options were set to high and very high and i changed very high to high and some high to medium right away just to be safe.
Tutorial is easy enough to do and you start by working for someone because you don't own anything. Hmm. For now 6/10 maybe 7/10. Will update later i hope, seeing i got my plate full already.

Interesting game, funny simulator.
It is my very first agricultural sim, so I bought it without greater expectations. Just found it with mayor dicsount (85% off), so I thought...hey, why not giving a try.
Game is localized in the major languages from start, but you could change game language and other aspects of the game in the settings. After checking video, sound and certainly keyboard settings, it's up to the new farmer to decide weather to start a carreer mode or invest your time and money in your very own (simulated) first farm.
I've choosen carreer mode, which also offers a little tutorial for the first tasks like plowing and sowing by tractor. After some paid missions, you are pointed toward white boards for new jobs. Some of them do only ask for work, others (higher paid) ask you to bring your owned or hired equipment to do the job. On the map you'll find several stations for jobs, other farms, equipment dealers, motel for recreation, which you could reach with your little starting truck.
Graphics is nice, anyhow you should accept it is a new title just starting to grow into business. Agree with some bad reviews about graphic glitches, but would not mind them too much, as it simply needs some polishing by devs or probably better drivers. So far I didn't encounter any major bug, but would like to see some enhancement of the engine/system like car horns on tractors aso. Some interaction with trees or fences seems a bit clunky too, but it's acceptable on this early stage for me.
Multiplayer is announced later, so far I didn't miss it. Other titles like farming simulater seem to offer it. Would be fun to explore this feater later with some friends.
Real Farm is nice, working without bad habits, but would need some more development. Devs seem to take care about patches and future enhancements. Also response on game forum is fast and helpful. Can't join the 'negative' reviews...probably because I do not own other simulators of this genre.
Major plus over competitors from my view is Linux support.
