The year is 2271. Since the Shinjuku Cataclysm of the 2080s, Neo-Shinjuku has been rebuilt and re-imagined by industrial replicators. Eden Tower dominates the skyline, the global headquarters of Eden Corporation, whose products and services dominate the world economy.
Eden Corp’s benevolent-seeming founder, Chairman Shiro, unveiled its newest service: “Promotion,” a program which promises nothing less than “improved humanity.” As the secrets of the Promotion program become clearer through leaks and hacks, the reality gets far more complicated—and sinister. Does Promotion really overcome death? Is a Promoted life even a life at all? What is Eden truly collecting?
Eden’s corporate veneer may be just a thin facade for something much worse, and the hacker resistance movement SyndiK8 seeks to put Eden's atrocities on blast to the world. As one of its elite operatives, your mission is simple: infiltrate, decimate, and get out alive--and human.

Fun game but DO NOT EXPECT A SHOOTER. This is a TOWER DEFENSE GAME. Yes you can use weapons, but if you are looking for a shooter game, this is not what you will expect. The first two missions are kinda boring but once you unlock turrets its really fun.

More a base tower defense game than a FPS, it is hard to apprehend at the beginning you have to let go your frustration from the confusing start especially if like me you bought the game a while ago and did not really knew what to expect from it.
The levels are small rooms but big enough for you to move around and defend against waves of ennemies. There are 4 characters and each have their own weapon: pistol, shotgun, blade and bow. The range weapons are a bit approximative in their shooting mechanics, I should precise the pistols and the bow, so don't expect a super acute FPS experience but if you like strategy and Base Tower Defense games you'll love it, don't imagine soemthing completely terrible it's just that it's not purely FPS oriented. It reminds me of Sanctum 2 a bit.
The story is there but unremarkable however the graphics are nice, no screen tearing, the only thing that I really don't like are the messages appearing on top of my gun when I am aiming and shooting my targets.
Overall it's good action with some moments of total panic. I play the campaign solo but there are people online and you can either play Co-op or PVP. Co-op is probably where it's at but I want to play solo on normal difficulty at least for my first character then I'll invite or get invited. There is an ignore option for the people spamming you to play with them.
Once again, give the game some time for the first 30 minutes is poor experience you don't have double wielding or power ups or automatic towers etc yet, you get my point DO NOT JUDGE THIS GAME TOO QUICKLY.
>SOlid 7.5/10, worth it in 2020.

TL;DR
Raw Data is a fun game with questionable UI design choices.
Summary
Okay, I can only play this game in short bursts because, while it is fun, it doesn't really do a good job of mitigating motion sickness or accounting for small playspaces. Below is a list of gripes, followed by a list of things I think the game does well.
Gripes
Many of the UI elements are stuck to your face so you have to utilize your glance to to read text on the edges of the lenses.
Hints and titles often sit in the middle of your vision and block the action
As someone who gets easily motion sick, limiting and flat out disabling the teleport at all is borderline unacceptable. This is only exacerbated by a small playspace.
Game elements are often placed outside of my playspace so I can't reach mission critical elements, and the teleport ability can only get so close to map geometry. I'm sure you can imagine how frustrating this is.
The sword, while it is the most fun in my opinion, is very difficult to use because it has to be swung pretty fast to do any noticeable damage. It will probably do more damage to your real life walls than anything in the game if you have a small playspace like me.
The pistol is not quite aligned with the Oculus Touch controller and feels like I have to slightly turn my wrists outward to line up the sights
The player characters' arms feel like their shoulders sit higher than normal, which is weird since I often have the opposite problem being 6'2" (188 cm)
Things the game does well
The game looks good.
The game sounds good.
The pistol and bow feel good to use and like they reward skillful play.
Most enemies react satisfyingly to being hit.
There's an actual story with solid voice acting and dialogue.
Feels good to unlock stuff and try it put immediately between every mission.
Conclusion
This game is great, especially with friends, if you can tolerate weird UI design choices and a little motion sickness. I have to play it in short bursts because of all the weirdness, but honestly that's okay, since my pudgy body tends to poop out around the same time I get sick or frustrated with things being outside my playspace.

Okay, this is an outstanding game in multiplayer with 1 or more friends. i played the absolute hell out of this with my bud and we had planned to get 100% completion and hove another friend join us in doing so. Then my friend got a valve index and we tried to play it once. we haven't played it since, the index support on this game is absolutely horrible and i doubt i will be playing or installing this again until there is index support implemented. if you or your friends don't have indexes then absolutely buy this game. personally i didn't enjoy it solo but multiplayer is great and one of the best wave shooters i have ever played.

I just got an Index and this is the first game I've tried with it, and it works wonderfully. I'm not sure if there's been an update since all of these other reviews came in (even as recently as a few days ago), but I've had literally no issues with it and am really enjoying it. I plan on playing to completion solo and also with friends. Highly recommend for fellow VR headset owners!!

This game is great! love playing it with friends and the mechanics are pretty simple. I've read a lot of comments that complain that the game is repetitive while true for like the first 4 levels it changes if you actually play through the game.... for more than 1 hour. There’s an alright story line and plenty of background info to go allowing with it. Some say the game is to hard once you get far enough.... well luckily, they have this nifty little option to change the intensity of the level. Nightmare mode is the most fun imo. But if you don't believe me try it for yourself. i'd rate this game 7/10. downsides are for the repetitiveness in the beginning and some glitches but overall, it’s a really polished game that i think is worth the 15 or so bucks.
