Pulling No Punches is a satirical game in the 2D beat’em up style with classic arcade influences and modern visuals.
The game follows the fictional story of a global pandemic that engulfed the world and is being ignored by fanatics who do not believe that the disease is real. It is up to the main characters, 4 common citizens adequately protected with gloves and masks, to deal with these fanatics and solve the situation with the force of their own fists.
● 4 Co-op Local Multiplayer!
● 4 Characters with unique Unlockables and Moves!
● Use everything at your disposal to destroy your enemies: a wide variety of punches, kicks, grabs and headbutts!
● Handmade art painfully animated frame by frame!

Porra que jogo foda. Adorei as referências de "Streets of Rage" e captei, também, na fala dos policiais algo de Demolition Man (aquele baseado no filme do Stallone e Wesley Snipes). Tá lindo. Vou jogar mais :)

Probably would be worth more than one playthrough if you played with 3 other people, final boss is kinda hard with only one person. This game seems like Streets of Rage and Scott Pilgrim had a weird looking baby that is serious about Brazilian politics. Music isnt that great but game is ok because I can beat up Christians (including a Kenneth Copeland stand-in) and entitled Karens while giving Cops both middle fingers. If I had the option to change my gender, hair color or burn the American flag, then I could really get my Woke on. But if you just wanted some stupid silly fun or blow off steam because of Covidiots, give this a whirl.

jogo de porradaria bacana, critica a história da uma boa narrativa, porém o jogo é bem curto, além de ter bastante bug ainda

Amazing beat em up, graphics like a cartton, a ton of critics to a Brazilian president Bolsonaro, tha is against vacines to protect from Covid 19. If you are a Brazilian (even if you is pro Bolsorano) or know really deep about brazilian politcs, you will have a lot of fun LOL
The last boss is a version of a "Monster Bolsonaro"
Game recomended

Before i begin, I'd like to thank the Steam "Vv0k3 Content" Advisory community for warning me against this game due to its pro-masking and anti-megachurch themes. I never would have known about Pulling No Punches if they weren't trying to stop it. I bought it immediately!
Set in a Brazilian city during a pandemic I'll just call "Povid-19", Pulling No Punches has you beating the stuffing out of anyone disobeying safety protocol. Is it legitimately good beyond its shock value? Absolutely. The animations are crisp and seamless, the satire is non-stop (your enemies become mutants after drinking toxic waste as an alleged cure), and the fighting engine is deep- blocking, sidesteps, and food to buy for stat customization. The game also runs well on Steamdeck.
Drawbacks? The enemies can be brutal, and combat can feel sluggish if you overcommit to attacks. I would've preferred an air recovery instead of having to hit a button to get up. I also would like an option to remap the controls (dodge roll to taunt button please!). Training is required!
But yes, I loved it. Finishing the story campaign only took an evening, but I had a blast pounding sense into idiots and fascists. Thanks, anti-VV0k3 bowdlers!

Pulling No Punches is a straight forward beat'em up with a beautiful 1940's/Spumco visual style that is a joy to experience throughout the short one hour plus ride.
It's also a work of art in more ways than one as Pulling No Punch's satirical content memorializes needless deaths and health issues that arose from the grim dark recent history that is navigating a global pandemic during a global resurgence of right wing authoritarian's stoking delusional fear-based rage among their citizens with lies, anti-science, and effecting a 'no one takes my right to recklessly endanger and kill off others' attitude in societies around the world. This attitude is responsible in part for the nearly 7 million deaths attributed to covid at the time of this review. Chances are we all know someone who died needlessly because of the reckless stupidity, conspiracy theories, beliefs, and behaviors of their government, spiritual leaders, neighbors, friends, and family. What a period in world history to capture in a video game! It's dark, intense, and impressive!
While violence is a chump's choice in real life, when you put the reality people suffered or died through in perspective, Pulling No Punches offers a fun catharsis for the chance to beat up on fictional representations of pandemic supporters. The baddies are made up of all kinds of caricatures that will feel familiar, to anyone who went into the pandemic knowing how to tell reality from delusion, with different groups getting showcased in each level.
My one complaint is with the SF2-style button-mashing bonus stages at the end of each level. You can press the button too fast, so if you've got old school test your might skills like myself, you'll need to use a piece of string to tie a cinder block around your finger and slow down your button presses.
The game is short, but it's encouraging to replay as other characters since they each have their own unlock progression for new moves. It also just feels easy to replay because it is so short and the visual style is so good! Don't forget to check out the bestiary in the menu for some fun write ups.
