In this new, original game by DanDev Salvato, you play as the titular, unnamed protagonist who - by virtue of the quirky, clumsy and forgetful short-haired friend Sayori - ends up within the Doki Doki Art Club. Short, simple dialogue makes every effort to ensure you understand exactly what the character is thinking, doing and saying in a new story telling method I can best describe as 'tell, don't show.' As you continue through the game, glitches start occurring and the main character eventually ends up in a position where they can only go out with 'Just Canary'. The game is also very aware that your time is valuable and, as such, will frequently skip unnecessary dialogue, days, character building and enjoyment, to ensure that you can get the full story in one easy-to-digest package. The lack of choice the player is given, I believe, is an artistic one - perhaps owing to the philosophical idea that free will is actually just an illusion. Literature, like life itself, gives no definitive answers as to what is objectively 'good' or 'bad.' Art, likewise, is a form of expression, and I feel this piece of art is the perfect way to get across the ideas of hopelessness, fear and Type 6 Intellectual Property Infringement. I rate 5/5.

Project Reset is not a good game
That's not really why I'm leaving a review though
The entirety of this game's production cycle was marred by setbacks, lies, and lack of control
I've spoken with the Developer about everything that went into the game, and spoke to the artist about her side of the haphazard development. Both agree that the game was doomed on arrival.
I've even expanded on the full story of this game and my talks with the Developer in a video, which I will link
Knowing everything that this game went through, it's a miracle that it ever got released
I recommend this game, not for the game, but the story behind it
And I recommend looking into the story of this game for anyone interested in game development
A cautionary tale for the modern indie dev

The drawing is a new take on story games like this also the story is good but feels a little short. I would like to see more character Development. But all in all a good game and doesnt have a story like doki doki at all.

Me and my good friend had a really fun time playing this together! I think I would've liked to see more options for the ending and to see some different loose ends tie together. While I think things were explained, I think there could have been a more personal way of handling it. Regardless, the art was cute and we still enjoyed it.

good story and character development. However the game tends to crash at pivotal story moments.

Similar to others games in this style but good story and good graphics.
