Project Hardline is a first person shooter game where two teams of mercenaries fight to be the last ones left or to capture an uplink station. This uplink station contains vital intel and must not fall into the wrong hands. Every time a team loses a round, they come back better equipped with better weapons, gear and equipment. This game is perfect for a party of casual shooter players, with tight physics based gun mechanics and fast paced round.
NOTE: This game is developed nearly entirely by one person, content updates may be slow and sporadic and bugs may still exist due to the limited resources available to testing the game. Bug reports are highly appreciated and any considerable bugs and errors will be patched immediately.

I recommend this game, if , you guys fix the damn scopes. I wanna experience the tranquility of locking on my targets with a working scope. How come when i use the scope (sniper, thermal , etc) from time to time. It portrays the scope as if im on 3mg of fent, battling crippling depression, and living with schizophrenia. I have lost a handful of rounds to my friends cause i wanted to go full Chris Kyle on their ass and end up feeling like stephen hawking if he was a marksman in the military. Good game forsure, but just needs a little polishing and touch ups. 4/5 rating from me.

This game is so amazing, it deserves one of those long Steam reviews. That's why I'm making one. Just before I start, I want to say that I wrote this at 8am and I'm in my early teens, so this might not be the best review.
Can't believe that people aren't actively playing this. The game mechanics are fun. Even though I don't peek usually, it sometimes comes extremely handy. Also the mobility is awesome. It's in the right spot to sometimes feel like Ready or Not and once in a while like Call of Duty. It's in the perfect sweet spot between tactical and fast-paced. Of course there is some problem with jumping on boxes, but you get used to it overtime. I briefly want to mention the balance system. I love it that the more points the enemy has, the better weapons you get.
The weapon balance and damage is so great. I love (most) of the weapons, because you can still lose to one guy with a Glock, but you still have to absolutely dominate with a sniper or shotgun. Some weapons are flawed though, like the snipers. The headshots are inconsistent, so most of the time your shots aren't as effective as they should be. Also about the M249. For "the best" or "highest rank" weapon, the recoil is so bad it almost makes it unusable (same with the X22). If you want to use it, I hope you get some good attachments and extremely close range encounters. A better option for close range is the M874, and it's the best (balanced) shotgun I've ever seen. It's balanced nicely, so it isn't too overpowered from longer ranges but can dominate from a close range. You can ambush or rush and both will give that sweet adrenaline rush. Every other weapon is enjoyable and are really fun to play with.
The maps are so fun to play in, since they are very unique and have a lot of detail put into them. I have my opinions on every map, so lets go trough them all.
-Fortress is a perfect map. It reminds me of the map Steel from Team Fortress 2 or Mumbai from Hitman 2, since it is a complicated and confusing map , but when you learn it, you can do some crazy tactics. The day before writing this, I was playing fortress with my friends. I found this new secluded area that I had never seen before. It was in the corner of the map, just a tiny strip of walkable area with a door. Then I got the greatest idea ever. I went up to my friend, shot him with a shotgun from far range to get his attention and ran straight to that obscure area. I nudged myself between the door and the edge of the map. He walked in the area confused, wondering what that place was. What he wasn't ready for, was me behind the door shooting him in the back with my shotgun. One of the greatest moments ever.
-Compound is a very good map if you're new. The layout is simple and memorable. In an average match of Compound both teams rush eachother trough the middle building, fire a few rounds, the team in the building goes to hide upstairs, the other team tries to predict the ambushes and they either die trying, successfully kill the enemies or go to the uplink station if it isn't in the room upstairs. After playing for 8.1 hours, It's still a fun map with cool new places to find useful in game.
-Shipyard is probably the most unique map. Its almost symmetrical, so usually one teammate snipes from spawn and the rest push. Sometimes the game ends with a chase for the last player who is very low. Because of all the containers and boxes, there is plenty of cover that gives it a very safe vibe. Never believed that a map located outside could have that good of a use for shotguns.
-Lost Island is my least favorite, but many other people love it. It's funny how the tower is naturally the point of attraction, since everybody always rushes towards it and tries to get inside to keep the other team away. Also a perfect spot for uplink, since the other spots aren't that good. Sadly the map has one flaw, and it is the lack of cover. Luckily there are boxes, rocks, hills and trees to prevent super long sightlines, but around the bridge and tower there are still sightlines, that are very rough, but those are the nature of the map and shouldn't be fixed. Many people like it and I respect their opinion. It just isn't for me.
The game still has some flaws that I would like to adress. Let's go trough them in order like with the maps, just shorter this time.
-Snipers have inconsistent headshots
-The M249 and X22 have way too much recoil
-Grenades don't bounce almost at all
Only three critiques is quite low. Otherwise the game is perfect excluding minor problems. There still lingers one problem that the players can fix. The game needs a few more active players. If you're alone, Project Hardline is not the game for you. You need friends to play this. Otherwise you need to sit around, refreshing the server browser waiting for even one player to have a server. If you have friends, this game is a blast. Good job Broken Metronome Studios! You have made a game that can entertain people in so many ways. If I ever want to have guaranteed fun with friends, I join a call with my friends, go into teams and different voice channels and just start playing. Unfortunately we play with three people, since it's hard to get a fourth player. Fortunately the balance system and the gameplay still makes it fun, even though we lose 2-5 in a 2v1.
In conclusion, this game is awesome. I hope there will be a new update that fixes some problems. I love this game and hopefully I never stop loving it.

Interesting concepts, I would improve the crosshairs of the guns when right click is pressed.

It's pretty bare bones, but it's incredibly fun to just get on and stalk your friend. Wish it had a bigger playerbase tho.

one of the best indie shooter games i have played, u should add character customization (skin tone, colors, hats, etc) and add 1 or 2 modes like deathmatch and a team plant mode like csgo
8/10 would recommend
