This is a wonderful potion game and it's chill enough to enjoy but also not so much that it gets frustrating to play. A beautiful and colourful game that you could play for hours no problem. Also I didn't miss the Knight showing up, fortunately my potions weren't too powerful for him.

Potions! could sit comfortably alongside the mega hits of the 90s, while also benefiting from the advances afforded by modern gaming. The feel of the game, with its beautiful art style, takes me back to Kings Quest V, Willy Beamish and the Lucas Arts and Westwood classics, while the RPG elements evoke my early memories of the Gold Box Dungeons & Dragons games. The nostalgia is real and this title would have snuggled neatly amongst the wonderful games of that time - an elegant game, for a more... civilized age.
Having said all that, this game is modern, new and intuitive. It feels fresh and immersive, for all its simplicity. I loved the demo and this is so much more. I can't wait to see where my journey as an intrepid potion-brewer ends!

I have clocked almost 8 hours so far in this game. I love the style of this game, it is whimsical (crazy colorful, the potion colors splashing is a fun detail) If you like potion-themed games you will like this. You are selling potions while trying to get to a city to get your potions license so you won't be shut down. So you are traveling to different areas, learning new spells and potion recipes, and fighting off thieves and creatures trying to steal potions from you. It is very well made, it had more in-depth game-play then I had expected. You can consume the potions you make to heal, give more mana, help fight.
This game is pretty new so I have had a few bugs, I save after every couple of in-game days. Having a auto save option might be worth it, I lost a decent amount of progress when the game randomly crashed. Another problem I found was the priests/mages (sorry, I can't remember the names of them) who ask you for a special potion needing the "ring" ingredient in their list of ingredients. As soon as the ring is in the cauldron it turns into the invisibility potion.
These are the only 2 hiccups I have found so far. I would definitely recommend this game, it's fun and very addictive, I rarely play games for hours upon hours at a time.

For some odd reason the game has a 5 second delay, makes it hard to play when its also running soooo slow that the cloud of smoke from the title screen is going out in slow motion, frame by frame. I tried doing Day 1 and it was impossible to play with that delay because I can't click and drag when its running like 10 frames a second...or slower.
Hopefully whatever it is will be fixed so I can really enjoy the game. I waited a while for this game to come out.

Fun game. It has a lot of potential. Hoping there's more updates on the way.
