Poppy’s Nightmare is a 2D side-scroller shoot’em up where a little girl fights her nightmares!
In Poppy, there is a progressive evolution of the things you can do throughout the game. You will travel marvelous worlds full of charming creatures who scare you that you are to fight. There are many of them! Spiders, dogs, dogs with planes, more spiders… but you, a girl who’s fighting her nightmares, have a much stronger desire to overcome. There are also a final challenge throughout the levels and scenarios that will set ready your skills, using all of your abilities, upgrades, and skills in order to advance and collect as many points as possible, which are features in the best form possible: Candy!

The game was developed by 2nd Year students at DigiPen Institute of Technology Europe – Bilbao, in an 8-month project as part of their academic curriculum. The game was made without the usage of a premade engine in C++.

比较一般的2D横版射击游戏。
左摇杆灵敏度稍微有点高，而且不能调，容易走位过头撞子弹或撞敌人。考虑到这点的话，难度也不低。
画面鲜艳可爱，但音乐跟场景不太搭配，射击音效过于单调。
考虑到是免费游戏，勉强给个好评。
Poppy's Nightmare is a relatively plain 2D side scroll shooting game.
Pros:
Cute, bright and colourful scenes and enemies.
No obvious BUG during my play time.
Cons:
Background music does not fit the stages well.
The sound effect is very monotonous and annoying.
The sensitivity for left stick on the controller is a little too high, frequently causing the character moving much further than I expect and thus hit by enemies or bullets.
Although there are many similar but better games, I still give a recommendation to the fans of this genre since it is free to try.
