Planetes
In Planetes your aim is to survive, create and explore.
You will need to harvest resources, in order to construct bases, spacecraft, and items. Protect yourself from other players by creating better spacecraft or a stronger base. Explore space, finding asteroids and planets to land on.
If you travel through space you can find planets with simulated gravity and atmosphere. You can land on these planets, or crash land if your ship is not powerful enough. When you arrive you can find resources to harvest and area to build bases.
Before you can travel through space you will need to build a ship. If you don’t like building in games, you won’t have to do much to have a functional spacecraft. If you do like building, you will find a building system with 6 categories of spaceship components each with many different and unique parts offering many options for you to build your ship with.
Other players are dangerous, but you can also create alliances with them.

Planetes is a fun space game with a lot of potential. Its still an Alpha build so expect a few bugs and not all the content is in game yet but even in it's current state there is plenty of enjoyment to be had.
At its core it's a space sandbox simulation with a great ship/base building mechanic and some really cool physics. There are enough components in the build menu already to let you construct pretty much anything your imagination can come up with. Once your ship is ready you can find other players to engage in PvP or just cruise the solar system trying to avoid planets, asteroids and the Sun! There isn't any PvE in game yet but get a few friends on a server and you can have a great laugh. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this progresses.

Loving this game! Have played both online and offline modes. Offline is chilled, work out some great builds and blow shizzle up :) Also useful for working out some PvP builds for the online mode.
Online mode a lot of fun. Have found players to take on - mostly losing on my part - but a lot to learn and build on for me! Really enjoy the modular nature of the building without any real limits in terms of how you can build.
Minor gripe - still taking me some time to get used to movement but that's a small point compared to the fun being had.

Planetes has been on my wishlist for a very long time so was excited to see it had finally came out.
This game is VERY early in development, it requires a lot of work to make it into a decent game, at the moment it has that early access, ok I’ve achieved everything what’s next even after little play time.
It seems to have a good underpinning but it needs that hook to want you to come back and work with the UI, sound and some sort of build tutorial too would be handy
It gets a recommendation as the price point is decent, I didn't encounter any bugs BUT be prepared there isn't much to do if you pick it up.

Very cool concept and it's looking really promising already, even in this early access state. It's a lot of fun to design different ships and figure out which work well and which don't
