Pity Pit is a fun little game to pick up and play for a while. It feels like a mix of Downwell and Dig Dug but has it's own style too. The gameplay is fun and when using a controller it feels great. You go down this hole while digging and smashing through rocks, collecting resources and coins to buy upgrades while trying to be faster than the cave-in that's coming from above. I think you're trying to rescue a princess or something at the bottom of this pit.
As for the music and sound effects, they are very old school like an NES game or something, well, the sound effects anyways. The music is hard to tell when it's on or not so if you throw on some background music that can be nice too.
This is a fun game that would be cool to pass around with others while hanging out to see how gets the highest score. Maybe make a contest out of it or something and you'll have a good time.

If you like retro gaming this game is for you. The video describes it perfectly and it's one of the "just one more time" game.
The gameplay is solid and very polish. The only down is the time to wait when you die until the retry button appears (just a few seconds but I'm for the instant replay - ehi it's not that bad, just for me ). ^_^
Give it a try.

It's ok, addictive enough and the price is correct. It makes you want to go further and there is room to improve your skills, although it's initially on the difficult side.
Some enemies are really difficult, but then it's your job to find strategies against them, and it's always possible to go further.
Some people would probably prefer it with a bit more meat on the bones, maybe as a roguelite because no progress is saved and you restart from zero on every playthrough.
But it works like that too. Just take it for what it is, a small game.

This is such an fun game, you just want to keep on playing it.
It gave me a slight Boulderdash vibe, even though its not like that.
And I really loved to play Dig Dug, and this game got an nice old school feel to it.
Its RNG based levels.
Honestly I was suprised by how fun this game is, and how much replay value it has.
I'm definetly going to play this game more

Game info:
This is a fun but, in my opinion, challenging action-adventure. You're a dwarf and your wife gets kidnapped by the devil. You have to save here by digging through the mines. This is challenging, because you can't take your time to plan ahead: the ceiling is coming down and you have to keep digging! There are also a lot of monsters in the mine and you only start with 2 health. You can buy health and bombs at the shop, so it is possible to get more than 2 health. There is also a forge where you can forge a stronger pickaxe or shovel.
There is no save system in this game. Every time you die, you start at the first level again with 2 health and the basic pickaxe.
Achievements info:
I did find most of the achievements challenging. Making 9 bombs required you to focus on the materials. Getting 9 health requires loads and loads of money and not getting hit much before you get to that 9 health. I've so far not been able to get that many hearts. Killing 30 enemies in one run is also difficult, because some will not get damaged when you hit them with your shovel/pickaxe.
You can get better at this game with a lot of time and effort, but it was too repetitive for me to do that. I wish it was just a little bit easier because I enjoyed the game for a while.
Pros & cons:
+ Easy to learn
+ Fun game mechanism
+- Challenging gameplay
