レビュー時点ではキャンペーンは最初の二つをクリア
90年代終わり頃に発売された「Pharao」のリメイク作品
日本語化には対応していないが少し調べれば自動翻訳機能が使えるのと
過去作のwikiからミッション内容等の確認は出来るので
プレイの敷居は低めだと思う
私はこのシリーズの実質的な最終作である「Emperor」しかプレイしたことが無かったが
「Emperor」と同じく道が繋がっていれば労働者プールに接続できる設定に出来るオプションがあるのは良かった
リメイクでは軍隊をプレイヤーが直接動かせない設計に変わっており、そこは確かに面白くないものの、危険動物はオプションで削除できるため致命的という程では無い
このシリーズは都市建設ゲームというより組み立てパズルのような感じであり
最適な住宅街の構成を自分なりに作って、それを各マップで応用しながらミッションをクリアしていくというのが基本的な流れ
基本的な部分を作ると後はやることが同じだから飽きる人もいるだろうが、例えばマップによっては「給水所」の建設位置が限定されるため初期配置にすら何分も迷ったりするし
二つ目以降の住宅街を作るときには流通に頭を悩ませる必要もある
そこら辺の応用パズル的な部分が非常に楽しいため私としては非常にオススメできるゲームだ
というか「Emperor」のリメイクをマジでお願いします、軍隊システムは是非そのままで・・・
