PAYDAY 3
Step out of retirement back into the life of crime in the shoes of the Payday Gang, the envy of their peers and the nightmare of law-enforcement wherever they go. Several years after the crew’s reign of terror over Washington DC has ended, they assemble once again to deal with the threat that roused them out of early retirement.
The legendary Payday Crew, dreaded by the law and underworld alike, is back. Ripped from their peaceful retirement to rejoin the criminal world by a new threat, one born from the chaos the Crew left in their wake.
In order to identify and crush this new threat, the Crew is leaving their Washington DC roots behind them and moving to New York City. A new location will bring with it new challenges, but also new opportunities for a heister with a plan.
Give outlet to your greed and let loose in PAYDAY 3. In addition to gold, cash and jewelry and any other valuables they might come across, you’ll be able to build a sizable collection of weapons, cosmetics and accolades.
It won’t be as simple as showing up and gaining goodies. You’ll have to work hard and plan smart to get away with as much loot as possible. Gain experience, unlock new skills and gain proficiency in weapons to steadily grow your power to handle the tougher challenges.
A professional heister knows it takes planning, hard work and a good amount of luck in order to execute a successful heist. In PAYDAY 3 the choice is put in the hands of the players, deciding how to tackle the heist, whether you sneak or go in guns blazing, whether you let your hostages go or keep them around as pawns, whether you go at it alone or bring friends. The choices are endless and in your hands, they will vastly change how the game plays.
Not just anyone is worthy of standing at your side for something as important as a heist. Likewise, PAYDAY 3 is best enjoyed with close friends in mind, whether you bring them from your childhood or make them along the road.
The PAYDAY-series has always valued the bonds made through hardship and tries to reflect that in the actions and words of our heisters while in the game, and through our community while on the outside.

One of the rare cases where I would leave a "Mixed" review if it were a possibility. The game was released in an unforgivable state, being literally unplayable and having a progression system that makes the game a checklist of things to do. Servers are fixed now, you can play solo with bots, and progression got an entire overhaul where you naturally level up and unlock stuff by simply completing heists and securing loot. I never had problems trying to find matches so far, so steam stats might not be accurate, gamepass and console players likely keeping this game alive.
Overall, I would say get it on sale. Gameplay is really fun, more realistic than PAYDAY 2, the OST is a banger and I could go on. Thing is, once you reach max level and complete all heists, there is nothing left to do but wait for new content. You can probably get around 50ish hours of gameplay out of it in its current sate. I sincerely hope Almir and the guys can bring this game back from the dead, but they should focus on bringing more legacy heists and free content rather than unnecessary DLCs.

Game has gotten a lot better over the past few months, however more still needs to be done to make it a worthy successor to Payday 2. While the launch was unforgivable, the game has started to turn itself around and is actually fun and starting to get content on the regular.
I think it's in a decent enough place where I can recommend it.

Yes, the launch was VERY harsh, but this game is getting better and better with every update. Yeah, like it was with payday 2
Devs, please, bring the CRIME NET back

They are cooking slowly but surely...
Against all odds well I have to say that I enjoy the game now despite hating it during closed and open betas !
They fixed most of the issues, there's still lot to improve but it's now well worth buying when it's on sale at -50%. I highly suggest you only buy the gold edition though or you will run out of content very quickly.
PAYDAY 3 gunplay is satisfying and there's lot of different guns to use.
Guns feel powerful and you can see the enemies reacting to damage in some nice ways, too bad there's not enough gore though in my opinion.
Stealth is decent but nothing really deep or realistic at all, most of the times it works but the AI kinda act weird. The enemies or civilians are either blind and completely stupid or for no apparent reasons or obvious mistakes it can happen that they may spot you and ruin your entire stealth attempts.
Compared to a game like Hitman for example I can definitely say that PAYDAY 3 is mediocre if we were to compare them in terms of options for your stealth approach during missions. The game is at it's best when it doesn't force you to do stealth entirely, the Turbid Station legacy heist is the perfect example of why forced stealth is a bad idea in this game, far too many times it ends in a frustrating failed mission because of the mediocre stealth.
Graphics are pretty good, models are detailed with nice animations and the game runs flawlessly for me. The soundtrack and voice acting are also top quality and greatly contribute to immerse you in this heisting madness, get rich or die trying as they say!
With more content, more heists, survival/horde modes and mods support it could become a really good game.
After a disastrous launch the game is now in a way better state, they are taking their sweet time to fix things but it seems they are getting there.
They absolutely still need to do some balancing for ammo drops, improve enemies AI and reduce the grind for unlocks. Also the cloakers appearing right next to you with cheated teleported movements and lagging on purpose are just cheap and garbage.
Hyped to see what's coming next in few months with the next updates.
As of today 19/08/2004 you can safely disregard all the negative reviews bomb from scrubs.
I will try to edit this review and will adjust my rating accordingly if things improve in the near future.

The game's in a much better state nowadays. Similar to Cyberpunk 2077, it deserved its scrutiny on release, but it has genuinely turned around and is an enjoyable experience.

PAYDAY 3 started off on a rough note for me, but I’ve seen some significant improvements that have made it a more enjoyable experience. At launch, the game was plagued with issues—unstable servers, a frustrating progression system, and a host of bugs that made it almost unplayable. Thankfully, the developers have been hard at work addressing these problems.
The recent updates have made a huge difference. The progression system has been reworked, so now I can unlock content more naturally by completing heists and securing loot, rather than grinding through a checklist. The server issues are resolved, and the option to play solo with bots has been a lifesaver, allowing me to enjoy the game without relying on online matchmaking.
The gunplay feels more refined and satisfying compared to PAYDAY 2. The game’s soundtrack is excellent, and the visuals are top-notch, adding to the overall heisting experience. However, I’ve found that the stealth mechanics can still be hit-or-miss. The AI can be unpredictable, making stealth attempts occasionally frustrating. I’ve enjoyed the game most when I can approach heists in various ways, rather than being forced into stealth.
One major downside I’ve encountered is the limited content available. After finishing the initial heists, I was disappointed to find that much of the new content is locked behind additional paywalls. Having paid full price for the game, it feels a bit frustrating to have to spend more for basic content.
Despite these issues, I think PAYDAY 3 is on the right track. The core mechanics are solid, and the ongoing updates and improvements are promising. If you’re a fan of heist games or enjoyed PAYDAY 2, you might find PAYDAY 3 worth picking up, especially if you can catch it on sale. With continued support and additional content, I believe it has the potential to meet, and maybe even exceed, the expectations set by its predecessor.

I love Payday 2. The horrific launch of this one was beyond disappointing. The devs are working hard to get it into shape and I respect that. They have my support because I know what this game can become and the recent updates only validate that. The gun play and foundation are phenomenal. I want to see a come back like No Man's Sky and Cyberpunk. That won't happen without your valid criticism and support. Lets do this!
