Past Cure is a dark psychological thriller that blurs the lines between dreams and reality. An intense, cinematic, story-driven experience that challenges the player to use mind-bending mental abilities to survive.

Note that this review is for the V2 version as they are calling it. I have to give the developers a lot of credit for listening to the critasisms of their game. They have made significant changes to the game, all of which are for the better. They turned a monotanous slog of a game into a far more tense, interesting experiance. The atmosphere is great and the overall production is solid, if rough around the edges.
Everything is better, but that isn't to say this is an amazing game overall. It still has bugs, combat still is only just ok, and writing and VO aren't great.
Ultimately I think the game is worth a pickup at a sale price

I dont care about the negative reviews. I am enjoying it and i think its a decent game.
The only thing i want to mention that bothered me is the price, its a bit too high in my opinion.

Past Cure has many facets and blends these artistically. The protagonist is haunted and is fighting for his sanity. The player must beat real and unreal monsters, all the while he's piecing the shattered story, mind of the protagonist, back together.
I would suggest everyone to make up their own minds and play the game - but I suppose that's not why you read these reviews here. The reason that I would urge you to do so regardless is that some people seem to be disappointed by the game because they seemed to have a clear concept of what the game is going to be and were disappointed to see something different.
If you want to hear it from me: I recommend the game -a true marvel for indie devs.
Review:
+ Graphics and animations seem ultra-realistic. 9/10
+ Storytelling especially camera movement and framing is superbly done. 10/10
+ Atmosphere is almost always eerie 8/10
+ Game Design challenging difficulty and alternated often (7/10)
- a little extra spice might have been missing
+ Level Design well decorated and solid design (7/10)
- however some progression felt slow at times.

Here is my Past Cure video review:
While I would post this and give it a recommend on the steam page, it comes with some serious caveats. The team here is small and they aimed for a big cinematic experience. You won't get the same caliber of quality even if that's what you're expecting.
If you like what you see on the media and on the reviews here on STEAM, be sure to know the game is rather short. My playtime was 8 hours and that was after having to start over almost half way when my save game was deleted for some reason. It's around 5 to 6 hours. The story is super intriguing but there really isn't much to it and no real good pay off. The combat is basic, stealth is basic, but servicable, but there is really no debth whatsoever. If you look at this game like narrative driven experience with some interactivity, it's easier to digest, but the narative just ends.
Let's hope with this first entry, the devs can really excell and learn from the experience and knock it out of the part with a sequel. I'd reccomend it if you know all this and are ok with what you get, otherwise, it's something most will probably want to avoid.

Great psychological thriller that you'll spend hours playing! Follow the great storyline as it moves from one reality to the next to solve the "who what why"
Lots of special moves in the combat system. Great Matrix like slowmo kill / takedown mode.
More than one way to solve each situation.
Great developer, fantastic indie game!

I absolutely love the concept of this game. The cinematics are beautiful. The story line is intriguing. Its a nice combination of shooter & psychological horror. The cut scenes are engaging & the story keeps you pushing forward. The controls are a bit wonky, would be awesome to see the ability to change your key bindings. I feel like this game has a ton of potential and with a bit of updating could be amazing. Work on controls & key mapping. A few minor technical issue fixes like cut scene voice becoming desync if you pause during. All in all a good game.

OK, it´s far from flawless and has some issues that definately need to be fixed. But it´s better than some reviews would make you think. I realy like the atmosphere and the way they tell their story...
