Pair of Aces
Inspired by 1980’s arcade games, Pair of Aces is a fast-paced action game where you throw all you have at the enemy fleet in order to sink their ships before they escape.
Play solo or with a friend in same-screen co-op mode to sink convoy after convoy of the enemy fleet, or play head-to-head Dogfight and sink your opponent’s carrier before they sink yours.
Drop bombs and enemy wreckage on the ships to destroy the superstructure and punch holes in the hull, get help by destroying sea-mines which will punch three holes in the enemy’s hull, right at the waterline!
Aim your bombs carefully and avoid the enemy flak cannons — they will throw you off-course.
If you crash, don’t worry: you have an infinite supply of fighter planes, but you can’t fight the good fight while you’re sight-seeing in a parachute.

Old school game play with a surprising level of difficulty and complexity.
Cute art style and great period music. I look forward to seeing what this studio can produce in the future.

Only played solo, but will try co-op as soon as I make friends.
I thought it was a bit pricey at first, but then I remembered how much money I spent in the original arcade coin guzzler, to master this 'tactical' air combat ... er,... stimulator. This is a tricky game, but there have been too few clones in the 40 or so years since the original, so it's good to see something that brings it back, and hopefully add new modes and upgrades. It's still great the way it is (very faithful to the arcade) but hopefully the devs add some ship speed mechanics, maybe a 'big ship' screen version with more time, just to give it a flowing feeling, because at the moment, just like the original, you will have to take advantage of the screen wrap, both vertical and horizontal... and lots of bombs... to achieve that sinking feeling.
