Pacifish is an incremental fishing management game with several mechanics to interact with and improve. It can be played both idly, or more actively to progress faster.
- Fish – Acquire and equip poles and tackle to fish in 6 unlockable areas.
- Fight – Disturbing the waters causes both the fish and the materials to fight back. Earn pixels to improve fighting stats.
- Hatch – Set up and upgrade incubators to hatch large quantities of fish.
- Eat – Consume those large quantities to improve stats such as fishing speed and fight stats.
- Swim – Manually take control of a fish to eat other fish and gain resources.
- Gamble – Spend your earned coin to play slots, or test your memory in a match game.
- Craft – Use materials to craft new poles and tackle, as well as create mods to alter pole stats.

I like the premise of this game. It's not as well-done as some of the other idlers I've played but it has a lot of neat elements. I used this game to learn how to do very basic code injection and cheat to beat it in a day. It was satisfying to speedrun after spending years beating another idler I enjoyed. Not the average experience for this game but I still witnessed how all the mechanics of the game work. I'd give this a 6.5/10 because I like the fishing concept.

Decent idle game. Not much new stuff between levels 50 and 100, but you can just leave it on in the background.

If you like incremental games, you'll love this one! Some idle games require you to be very active to make any progress, but this one has a lot of actual idle properties. I was fine leaving it overnight and coming back to see my progress. I got every achievement in the game and it took 93 hours (most of which was idle).
Things I didn't like: Obvious pay to win DLC, I guess if you want to support the developer you could do it though. It was hard to understand some of the instructions on mechanics. Fighting gets to a point where with maxed out stats, you still get killed near instantly, so it kind of just stops there. Finally, the fish clicker is a completely pointless and seemingly unfinished feature. You don't actually need to use it to progress so that's fine I guess, but it just makes the game look unfinished/abandoned.
Overall, a fun game and it's free so I guess I shouldn't complain too much!

I really love fish games, the simple graphics and design make this game super fun to leave running while I work on school or animations, 10/10

Idle Fishing
Pacifish is a simple little idle game of fishing with a few interconnected features.
The base game is to simply fish manually or automatically at one of six different sites. As you fish, you gain XP and level up, which unlocks the other sites. You then sell what you fish up or can use it for the other features.
At the top of the fishing screen is a strip of water. Your fishy can swim left/right and a little bit up/down with the arrow keys and collect fish and other items. However, small jellyfish will hurt you if you eat them. Lost HP quickly regenerates, though.
On this main screen is a tab where you can eat a few select fish that you snag. These will level you up in a few areas, including catch speed.
The fish you catch can also be used in the Hatchery to breed more, important as you keep eating fishies and need to eat more and more to level up, or just need to keep selling fish for money.
Another tab is a fighting screen. You will need to fight a boss as well as leveling up in fishing in order to pass to the next area. As you defeat fish, you'll automatically go up to a new level of enemy, which will of course have better rewards. You earn pixels and gold for defeating fish. Pixels are used in several fighting stats.
Another tab is to the Casino. Star tokens are spent here, and can earn payouts in slots or a matching game. The slots game often gives Fragments, and 30 of them will create a Part that can be invested to improve Casino payouts.
Then there's the Workshop and Forge. Here, you can make rods and bait according to the recipes you find, using some of the flotsam you fish up.
The final tab is the Depths, which is simply an achievements counter.
Graphics here are pretty basic, but get the job done. There's a couple of cute touches to the fishies, like the ears on the catfish and dogfish.
This is a free to play game, and the only store item is a DLC, the Pavilion, that grants free stuff every 30 minutes and a gold cosmetic skin.
Pacifish isn't the most spectacular or beautiful game here on Steam, but it is a solid effort by what is pretty much a one-man dev team and worth a look.

Best game ever made unironically really good only thing is that it doesn;t have offline progress but you can just leave it open in the background also i wish there was more
