難易度はやや高めよりのアクションゲーム。ドット絵が好きな方であればおすすめです。
フクロウ族の少年が主人公のこちらの作品では、世界の様々な場所を仲間と共に飛んで行きながら進めます。正直、ストーリーは完全にまとまってはいない印象を受けるのでお話重視の方には向かないかもしれません。ただ、友情を強く描写しているシーンが多く、感傷に浸る方もいらっしゃると思います。
操作性は鳥が主人公のゲームだとあるあるですが、慣れないと難しいです。主人公のオータス自身は敵に対する攻撃手段が無く、スピンで怯ませたり仲間を掴んで攻撃する等で対処します。
グラフィックは非常に綺麗で、ドット絵が好きな方には刺さる作品です。

ゲーム全体のマップはそれほど複雑では無いため、謎解きや全体での盛り上がりを期待されている方は多分予想と違う物になると思います。
私は購入して2年半経ちますが、主人公のオータス君のフィギュアや過去に発売されていた限定版など、ゲーム内以外のアイテムに人生で初めて興味を持たせてくれたゲームがOwlboyです。
