Build a kingdom
Grow your kingdom from a small village to a sprawling empire. Gather resources and build houses, farms, and taverns to keep your citizens happy, increasing the rate at which your kingdom grows. As you unlock technologies, possibilities will grow, as will citizens’ demands. Can you create the perfect kingdom?
Construct Orr
Your goal in Orrstead is to construct Orr, the center of your kingdom. As you complete each phase of construction, a new era of technology will be unlocked. Advance from chopping trees and building with wood, to mining and building with stone, and so on. Will you be able to complete the construction of Orr?

CookieClicker meets SimCity. Want something to just, vibe with? This is your game. Great for the ADHD 'Must Do Something' cravings that also come with 'No Energy To Exist'. Peaceful, simple, satisfying, doesn't punish you if you space out.
10/10, do recommend.
Some small bugs, but nothing actually game breaking, just pay attention to where your resource ranges are.
<3 Well worth my two coffees worth of money.

Fun relaxing game but currently (just after launch) not too much content, within an hour or two you've basically reached end-game. Again, very relaxing and satisfying game. Hope more content gets added in the future

It's okay if you like starting over or hitting walls of progression.
I do recommend, but read below first.
This game is not an ant farm sim, or relaxing.
I spent the early game restarting because of the lack of info being readily available.
You have to look for it.
The info is there in most cases, but realistically it's the info that isn't explained or showed that takes hours to figure out due to the games exceptionally, purposefully slow pace to figure out.
Basically, the game starts off balanced then falls apart, balance-wise, in the late end of mid-game.
Then you realize, you're gonna have to pause and destroy your whole town & layout to optimize wisdom gain which isn't relaxing or fun. It's work in game that I wanted to relax me. The alternative is restart like I did & hope the randomized missions give me newer build options before town population missions become impossible, while also trying to plan a community to maximize wisdom gain.
Overall, there's enough spartan content to merit a few restarts but after that you start digging for ANY info to figure out why you're not progressing. Then I though well, maybe this it. Game over?Nope.
The relaxing stuff is somewhere after the tedium.
Then I thought, lemme go find a mod or something, but no too small of game. No dice.
Then I wrote this and uninstalled.
I want to like this game, but it's not there.
Still, I'll recommend it because it's definitely for someone else who will enjoy getting to the end & probably will figure out the unstated gameplay hours before I did & won't dislike it because of the time they didn't waste getting to relaxing.

A fantastic, well designed somewhat idle game. Resource management feels good. Transport and logistics are not bad. You can get stuck trying to progress and there's some element of luck involved but not too much. I would like to see more city policies added. Maybe some more diverse quests.

Very fun chill little city builder game, took my time with it and got about six hours before I lost interest. There's not a whole lot of substance to it, admittedly, but what is there is enjoyable!
I can see how someone could get 20+ hours of gameplay if they wanted to optimize their town to maximize resources, that kind of thing. If that's you, you should grab it! Otherwise, you may want to wait to wait for a sale.
Recommendation to the dev: You have something awesome here, just need to expand on it. Add bigger maps, more varied terrain, more potential challenges to face, that kind of thing. Adding just a little more content would make this worth its $13 price tag.

Orrstead is a nice relaxing city builder, once your city or area of city is developed you can kind of forget about it, which is nice because we you can either fix it up or just build a nicer newer section, and it works well with my ADHD, since I can move onto something new!
There is some trial and error with sawmills and foresters, getting the right amount of food or fish, sheep and hats (so many hats!) Its nice because you'll figure out how to best manage that for yourself.
So I would def recommend the game, as you can just take the time to design your city, without having to keep up with it. If you need to run somewhere you can just let your resources build up, and overall its just a good city builder!

Funny little game, but with thin content and some unpleasant mobile game like mechanics (for example, why is there a need to collect geodes manually - probably to stimulate the reward system). Not worth the full price.
