About the GameOmerta – City of Gangsters is a simulation game with tactical turn-based combat. Taking the role of a fresh-from-the-boat immigrant, with dreams of the big life, the player will work his way up the criminal hierarchy of 1920’s Atlantic City. Starting with small jobs, his character recruits a gang and expands his empire by taking territory from other gangsters. Eventually he establishes his own crime syndicate and becomes the de facto ruler of Atlantic City.Key Features

Omerta: City of Gangsters combina gestión, estrategia y combates por turnos. La idea original desciende del Gangsters: Organized Crime (1998), un juego muy completo y ambicioso para su época y que se ha ido intentando copiar a lo largo del tiempo, siempre sin éxito.
Aunque ni por asomo llega a ser tan bueno como era el Gangsters, estamos ante un juego que cumple bastante bien. Disponemos de dos modos de juego: la historia principal y "distritos sin ley", que es el equivalente el modo sandbox.
Durante la partida tendremos que alquilar o comprar locales para establecer nuestros negocios y tapaderas, robar o asaltar otros negocios, enfrentar a las bandas rivales y lidiar al mismo tiempo con la presión policial.
Como se suele decir: nadie es perfecto. Omerta no lo es, no llega a ser ni la mitad del juego en el que se basa. Sin embargo, ofrece una experiencia bastante entretenida mientras esperamos a que aparezca un digno sucesor del Gangsters.
