non-binary
“non-binary” is a game in three acts that blends bullet hell and storytelling to bring you into the lives of two non-binary people.
you will accompany Elisa or Luca from childhood to adulthood, experiencing with them frustration and joy, discovery and change.
“non-binary” features two different paths: one for a character socially defined as female and the other, male.
at the beginning of the game, the character will be randomly assigned to you.
at the end of the game, you will be able to retrace their story or live that of the other protagonist.
we recommend that you experience both stories: by combining personal experiences and the testimonies of those who have supported us, we have created two very different paths. the lives of non-binary people are as varied and complex as those of anyone else. that’s why the game doesn’t aim to tell everyone’s story, but only a small glimpse into a complex world.
if you are a non-binary person and you are going through a bad time, remeber: you’re not alone 💛🤍💜🖤
many countries have LGBTQIA* associations that can provide support.
if you’d like to share in the comments those active in your country, it will make it easier for those who may need them to find them.
and if you feel the need, you can write us.

I empathized very much with the two protagonists (especially Luca, being AMAB myself), their experiences, and... other words that my autistic brain withholds from me.
Anyways, good game, much relatable. It's good, short and not that hard.
But there's no Sans Undertale so really it's actually bad when you think about it.

This hit too close to home, and Luca's route made me cry and then Elisa's route make me cry some more. I wish the stories had more context, because I was too lost trying to figure out wth was going on while dodging gendered hits. Some advice would be to maybe not make the bullets hit you when you are trying to choose an option bc you are frozen in place. Good job portraying what being misgendered feels like: little stabs that slowly diminish your sense of self until you cant take it anymore.

The game play and story are interesting, the concept is really unique. While it may look bad at first, with simplistic game play and simplistic visuals. The way "Losing" the game leads to realisation and the way it adapts to the time you "die" is interesting. I really like that part. It feels rewarding to keep going in the game as a sort of catharsis but at the same time you get the same experience if you "lose" early in the game. It is a really, really cool concept which took me a little while to figure out.
Besides the concept of the game, the story told is very personal and relatable. From an already trans perspective the game hit really well. But even from a non-trans perspective I would say it is worth playing. I would recommend this to someone who enjoyed "I saw the TV Glow."
Big thumbs up! It's really short which really makes it worth playing :)

This game is good and the gameplay was pretty good too. I broke down and cried while playing and after this game because I am also Non-Binary (Enby) and I was able to relate to the things that both characters went through. This game gets me so emotional I even cried while playing it. I have to say that this is probably one of the best LGBT video games that I have ever played!

Amazing game, almost cried, feels like a therapy speed run for people whom are non-binary. If your non-binary, I recommend playing, its helped me. Keep up the good work <3

A good look into the experience of being queer, specifically non-binary, and how the marginalization groups face divides each other and yourself. But one realization stands clear, you have to live true to yourself and not bow down to others' expectations to truly be liberated.

Two short but impactful stories, with a relatively easy (when your eyes aren't blurry from tears!) but metaphorical bullet dodging element that I felt complimented the story really well. Highly recommend. (warning, there are slurs used)
