Summer 2019 Event : Goliath-7
New content, new bounties, new Stinger OS upgrades, new skins and rewards, updated twitch drop campaign, and new in-game event for streamers!
Goliath-7 is a new upgrade platform that lets you increase the capacity of your Stinger OS. 4 types of upgrades are available.
CPU upgrades boost modules like Password Attack. Proxy upgrades increase the number of servers you can use to speed up the process of scanning various networks. Database upgrades allow for bigger xkeyscore requests. Software upgrades add new modules and game mechanics.
Upgrades can be permanent or temporary. Upgrades also range in power, from common to legendary.
A series of bounties will be dedicated to Goliath-7 upgrades, but expect to see them during open-world, academy, or the main campaign storyline.

Training Boot Camp
The academy will help you learn all the basics you need to become a proficient hacker in the world of NITE Team 4. Through multiple training certificates, you will be taught real-life cybersecurity techniques and modules including information gathering, port scanning, fingerprinting, exploit research, attack strategy, digital forensics and so much more. The academy is designed to be fun but also accessible even if you have never used a terminal in your life.
Epic Campaign
The game include 4 main operations fully voice acted. Experience the life of an elite cyber warfare agent in a military task force. Track down suspects on the dark web, infiltrate networks and coordinate drone strikes!
Bounty and reputation
Hourly, daily and weekly world drops let you get various jobs from intelligence agencies around the world. NSA, CIA, GCHQ, CSIS, MSS, GRU… With more than 20 bounties, it’s up to you to decide who you want to help and forge your reputation worldwide to unlock rare and epic bounties.
Open World Mission
If you want more challenging missions, each month a set of missions let you blend the game with real-life objectives and resources. Online research, fake websites, cellphones and more in an alternate reality extension of the game.

Alors par où commencer…
J'adore cette équipe de développeur, ils savent me parler. J'avais aimé Ahnayro, j'avais adoré The Black Watchmen (TBW pour la suite). Du coup j'attendais de pied ferme leur nouveau bébé, surtout sachant le thème.
La pression était grande et ils ont encore réussi le coche.
Le jeu allie casse tête ET pédagogie. En fait ce jeu ne vous apprend pas à pirater à proprement parler mais vous apprend le background informatique et les raisonnements que peuvent mener les pirates pour arriver à leur objectif.
Si on est objectif, ce jeu est un point & click masqué (cette phrase n'est pas du tout péjorative, je suis un vieux c** et fan de point & click depuis toujours), mais la mise en forme de l'emballage est tellement bien faite que l'on se rêve devant son poste à pirater les réseaux surprotégés.
Les énigmes et casses têtes sont bien pensés, quasi aucun n'est injuste, et globalement tout est réalisable par soi même. Par opposition à TBW qui m'avait nécessité plusieurs coup de pouce sur leur forum, là je n'ai eu besoin de faire appel aux indices qu'une seule fois. TBW a l'immensité du web et des technologies pour trouver l'info, on peut donc facilement partir dans une mauvaise direction, là étant dans le domaine informatique on est plus cadré, avec au final très peu, voir pas, de recherche hors-jeu.
Si y a un truc où Alice & Smith est encore plus fort que les casses têtes, c'est l'ambiance. Ce studio est un p**** d'expert du storytelling. Les histoires sont biens écrites, l'esthétisme de l'ihm est top, les musiques et bruitages parfaits. Peut être encore plus que TBW l'expérience est viscérale, on la vie vraiment.
Et petite cerise sur le gateau, les missions de « Chasseur de prime », ces missions sont générées par tranches horaires ou par jour et permettent de prolonger l'expérience en se faisant une petite session de 10-30 min suivant comment on est doué ou réveillé ce jour-là. Et on ne parlera pas des missions faites par les joueurs qui ont acquis le dlc de création de scénario du jeu.
Bon et maintenant pour être pleinement exhaustif les points négatifs, parce qu'il faut les dire pour que l'on achète ce jeu en connaissance de cause:
1) Ce jeu est en anglais, entièrement en anglais, avec les séquences de dialogues en anglais sans sous titre, du coup même si pour 95 % du jeu on peut se contenter de l'anglais écrit, pour 2 3 cas bien précis il est nécessaire de comprendre l'anglais oral car les directives/éléments sont dit à l'oral uniquement et repris à l'écrit nul part.
2) Comme dit plus haut ce jeu est un point & click de luxe, donc parfois (ça m'est arrivé 2 fois) vous avez un plan à partir des éléments que vous disposez et ce que l'on vous a appris lors des tutos et précédentes missions. Ce plan marcherait pour résoudre la mission mais la résolution n'a pas été pensées dans cette voie mais une autre, du coup c'est un petit peu frustrant de devoir trouver LA solution pensée par le jeu, pas que ce soit UNE DES solutions possible dans le jeu (un peu à la Hitman). Mais bon là c'est vraiment histoire de chipoter.

Il faut croire que les hacking simulations me réussissent. D'abord Hacknet, maintenant Nite Team 4.
Je suis déjà familier des réalisations de Alice & Smith à travers les ARG qu'ils ont organisé pour Funcom, notamment en lien avec The Secret World. Impliquer le joueur dans leur intrigue est une chose qu'ils savent très bien faire.
NT4 nous mets dans les sabots d'un bleu d'une agence de cyber-espionnage et contre-espionnage, travaillant avec tous les services secrets du globe. Vous recevez votre OS et vos outils, apprenez le langage et la procédure standard, puis êtes plongés en eaux troubles.
Ce jeu utilise le jargon technique et les noms de véritables programmes, bel et bien utilisé dans le milieu de la cyber-sécurité. Apprendre et comprendre peut paraître compliqué, mais la chose est suffisamment simplifiée pour rester digeste. J'ai d'ailleurs eu la surprise d'apprendre que ce petit bout de software avait sa place dans la bibliothèque d'une agence de reconversion de soldats blessés spécialisée dans la cyber-crim'.
L'histoire solo pose des problèmes intéressants, et demande de réfléchir comme un véritable hacker. On mords très vite à la traque au black-hat et le dernier acte n'en est que plus impactant. Les contenus additionnels offrent aussi de fouiller réellement sur le net, ce qui a toujours été le point fort de A&S.
En conclusion : Préparez un clavier de rechange et beaucoup de café, une longue session d'osint et DNS sniffing vous attends.
