Despite the 1.7 hours played i have over 200 hours on switch and bought it on PC just to support the devs this game is one of the best monster collectors i've ever seen and have had the pleasure of playing. its one of those game i would give anything to to relive and go through for the first time and unlike in other monster tamers this game actually has replay value and even on my third time round i noticed things id never seen the first or second time.

Super fun and cute monster catching game.
Monster designs are bright and engaging.
Game play is what you would expect.
RPG like questing system.
Level scaling.
Character/sprite design is great.
Story is simple enough for the game type but more in depth than some competition.
Lots of things back from the first game for series lovers, but you don't need to have played it to play this.
End game quests are fun.
I have all the achievements and Nexomon (minus the cosmic) so my play time is a good gauge of how many hours you can get out of the game.

I thought it was going to be a rip-off of Pokemon, but really it borrows very little from that franchise and brings to the table quite a lot of its own flavor, plus some terribly meta humor. But the bottom line is this has as much in common with Pokemon as Diablo has in common with Harvest Moon. It's an interesting story, not at all what I was expected, but pleasing as ever. It is faster paced, making for a less patience-taxing gameplay experience, with a great deal of variety in creatures. Quite a colorful cast of characters, compelling story, and much fun to be had. It may not be for everyone, but it's still worth giving it a try.

I've got 8 hours playtime right now and I must say that I am thoroughly impressed so far.
Most people would assume this is a Pokemon rip-off but it's much more than that and so far I am enjoying it more than any Pokemon game I've played. It has a lot of similarities to Pokemon but also has a lot of it's own features. It also has a much more vibrant world filled with charm and much better written characters. The characters and vibe have a nice sense of humour too. It doesn't take itself too seriously which is nice for a game of this style.
The game actually has a story which seems thought out and well written, so far there are plenty of mysteries that I am looking forward to discovering and seeing where the adventure takes me and my character.
The creatures are really well designed and you can tell that time and passion was put into creating them. The mix of abilities that I've encountered so far is good but I know I have many more to discover.
The combat is really engaging and fun. The effects look nice and all the moves are explained. I couldn't see a list of weakness and strengths or a list of status effects but these can be found easily online. It's nice to be able to see exactly what each move does while in combat with a list of stats to help you compare them too.
I've only played 8 hours but so far I would definitely recommend this game as I'm having a great time and looking forward to playing more!!

It was okay. I liked the first game better though.
The fourth wall breaks got old very quickly. I didn't like Coco's commentary either.

Such a charming and funny game.
It plays like a pokemon game but it has way better dialogue that is funny and keeps you interested in whats going on.
Aside from that the game-play is very straight forward since 90% of it is simply spamming the elemental attack your opponent is weak to.
There isn't a lot of depth combat wise, which keeps things simple, there is no one right nexomon to always use since most can only learn attacks of their element. You will need a balanced team to make sure you win a fight.
Also there are like 400+ nexomon to catch which is pretty insane for being the second game in the series.
I would highly recommend this game if you like RPGs or pokemon games.
