Mystwood Manor

For anyone considering buying, is important to know right off the bat that this a hotel management game with a linear VN attached to it. There are no paths to choose or decisions to make that affect the outcome of the story, only options to refuse the spicy content or to make an incorrect plot choice, either of which simply halts your progression until you are brought back to the same scene to select the "correct" answer that the story requires to continue. There is a mystery of sorts as the main quest, but due to the linear format there is no real way to fail to solve it or to reach a wrong conclusion.
That said, there is more than plenty of spicy with well-rendered scenes after about halfway through the playthrough, but no real characterization to speak of, as things fall into the well-tread beat of harem building where all the ladies throw themselves at the MC with no effort required because, magic I guess? There is some attempt by the creator to give the ladies personalities, but it is shallow at best, and the continuous astonishment and bumbling of the MC across every single path which still miraculously gains the lady's favor quickly becomes tiresome
I give this one a thumbs up as I tend to enjoy management style games, but YMMV, and definitely can't recommend if your preference is the traditional VN with branching storylines where choices matter to the development of the story and for the romantic relationships.

TLDR: A mediocre linear VN that relies heavily on management and resource allocation for the gameplay, but you get to bang a nun. 7/10

Positives:

* Beautiful graphics
* Most of the girls are very appealing
* Fairly original story
* Existing soundtrack
* Cheats that make the game easier
* Hotel management system is well-executed

Negatives:

* The game starts off extremely slow — there are no love scenes until around the middle. After that, they come one after another, which can feel overwhelming.
* Hotel management takes up at least 70% of the gameplay, while the story only makes up the remaining 30% which is not very long.
* Advancing the hotel also progresses the story, which becomes a real grind without using cheats.
* Hotel management is very repetetive
* The girls introduced later in the game are relatively mid compared to those available early on, which is disappointing.

Overall:

* Not a bad game, but definitely not worth the full price.
* Get it if you don’t mind spending more time on hotel management than on the story itself.

Pros: The hotel management system has more depth and was more enjoyable than I thought it would be, but it's still pretty simple compared to a mainstream game or rebuilding the fraternity in Being a DIK. The adult scenes are pretty solid, but short. Even though they're short, the angles and repeating clips are better than some AVN's since it isn't padded with a bunch of cringy dialogue/noises/over-direction. However, two of the character's faces were also squarely in the uncanny valley for me - again, some other AVN's are much worse, but when 2/8 partners are weird looking, that's too many. You will get some quality content for the price, but there are definitely better adult games out there. Even the developers' previous title, Man of the House, was better IMO. Overall, the pro is that this is nowhere close to the worst AVN and the game elements were kind of fun, so wait for a sale.

Cons: It took over 20 hours until I got to "the good stuff" aka anything beyond teasing scenes! That's bad design. YMMV by what you like or how quickly you get to the best scenes, but most of the full adult content rewards were locked until the final tier of hotel quality. Then, they were all happening at once. They don't follow traditional AVN style by spacing events out based on how close MC is to those characters (ie, it shouldn't take as long to hook up with the best friend as it does the complete stranger - or if it does, it better feel pretty rewarding - it was only... okay.). I ended up using video "fluffers" on my second monitor for most of the game since the adult scenes were so far between. It was kind of fun to find similar content to match up, but this is the first adult game I've had to do this. It now won't be the last time either. The overall story has some intrigue but one guest is VERY annoying to make happy, you'll also end up accidentally wasting time exploring the wrong places, and it can get annoying trying to get each person's progress to move forward. The line-by-line dialogue isn't too cringe, but the attempt at humor was too much/often, and the characters themselves are very one-dimensional with overwhelming "p#rn logic". This also has a lot of awkward "accidentally seeing MC's massive appendage and wanting more" and supernatural elements that make all the girls want the MC. Pretty standard fantasy for this genre, but it was jarring to me to have the MC be so awkward in one scene and then whiplash confidence the next. At some point, especially after MC has already hooked up with a few hotties, he shouldn't be so freaking "ashamed" of his sexuality. Bro is still clueless about his hookups all the way to the end. It gets pretty old, but also very clearly shows the writer's lack of sexual experience. Finally, a major draw of AVN games is to live out fantasies that would be too costly, impossible, or taboo/kinky to make in other mediums. Outside of the supernatural elements that are basically just used as a plot device, most of the "fantasy" of this game is pretty vanilla stuff like being successful, building a one-dimensional harem, workplace/public situations, hooking up with a nun, etc. I'm not saying it needs more kink, but virtual s@x for s@x's sake isn't all that appealing as an AVN.

Overall, for an AVN: 5.5/10 Just enough to give it a thumbs up, but not really recommend it.

Story
Excellent story, but I wanted more. I do understand the focus was more on gameplay so that makes sense.

Gameplay
Top tier gameplay, I haven't played a game like this before so it was a nice change. I've only marked it down one as I'd like to have seen some more mini games or perhaps a phone system.

Models
Good models, I would like to see a bit more diversity though.

Scenes
The scenes are tough to rate, I liked them but not sure if that was because you had to really grind for them so they were definitely a reward. Looking back I would make them longer and more interactive (like choosing where to c**).

Replayability
I managed to get all the gallery and achievements on 1 playthrough, however I'd still play it again eventually as the gameplay and story were so good.

Would definitely recommend this game UNLESS you don't like the grind.

I actually bought this game for the sexual content but man! Didn't expect the gameplay to be this addicting. And I mean hours of not wanting to stop playing. Perfect balance of both gameplay and sexual content with intriguing story that spices everything up. Faerin games!! If i knew the game was this fun, no doubt i buy it in full price. MORE GAMES LIKE THIS PLEASE!

Very good game (for this genre). Interesting story, engaging for most of the time. It only gets a bit repetitive right before the end, but overall I definitely recommend it. 8/10

The quality of scene is good and I really like character design in this game

Something about this game that I don't like.
The First part of the game around 5-7 hour there is no H scene just Managing game.
In the end of the Game H scene overwhelming you with ton of it.

I think this game worth to buy in my opinion.
