Murderous Pursuits
Murderous Pursuits is a kill-or-be-killed stealth-em-up multiplayer game for 1-8 players. Smartly stalk your target – the Victorian’s call that Quarry – and wait for just the right moment to pounce on your prey. But be careful not to give yourself away to the other players hunting you! Act like an unassuming passenger to avoid revealing yourself, locate high-scoring weapons, and stalk and kill your targets in a manner that befits your station as a 'right dodgy villain'. The Best – And Smartest – Killer Wins Gain the highest number of points by the end of the round to win. Optimize your points by finding higher value weapons and keeping your exposure low, all while scoring glorious kills. Be too careful and you’ll fall behind. Be too bold and other hunters will take advantage. Employ a variety of abilities, including disguise, flash, and counter, to outmanoeuvre your adversaries and carry out your diabolical plan.

This game is very similar to Assassians Creed Brotherhood multiplayer Wanted. You're assigned a target and you are also a target for someone else in the game. Quietly and unexpectedly take out your target. It's fun.

Great game, brings back memories of AC: Brotherhood multiplayer which was tons of fun.
This one keeps it simple, with no perpetual rooftop runners. It plays slower, and you need to approach your prey more stealthily. Guards add another dimension to gameplay, where they arrest you if you commit crimes in full view of them, which negates your favor points for a kill/stun. You can use pie bombs to circumvent this.
At the same time though, guards feel broken. When they arrest you, you're animation locked and also can't move while being fully revealed. Other players can then approach you and stun/kill you two feet in front of the guard for free as he stands there writing in his notebook. This also leads to hilarious moments where there's an absolute bloodbath around a non-caring guard as players converge and violence ensues.
It's too bad the game is basically dead, so if you pick it up, grab a few friends to jump in with you. I've seen 1-2 regulars throughout the week, and on weekends. The bots do provide good practice, and some of them do put up a good fight. Feels like this game is deserving of a resurgence.
All the negative reviews I've read, seem to be from fans of the "The Ship" games, who are mad that this game isn't "The Ship". No actual feedback on the game, so its just review bombing. A few mentioned the devs switching from making another ship game to making a AC mp clone. That might be true, but this game is scratching that itch I've had for years for a return to AC: Brotherhood multiplayer days.
It's a shame no new content will come out for this. Though we do have dedicated servers, so at least the game can live on, unlike AC which had its mp servers shut down.

well honestly the concept of the game is pretty fun but it doesn't keep you entertained for long. Especially when you're stuck playing with bots. I do think this game should be free though because of it's simple and repetitive concept.

I don't like multiplayer games, but I appreciate the idea of this one. It's kind of like a murder mystery where everyone is the murderer and everyone is a potential victim. It's tough to tell who your target is, and even harder to tell who's trying to kill you, so it is a bit of a rush to play. You're scored by how sneaky you do things, how many people you kill, what type of weapons you use etc. It's unique and interesting.
If you enjoy these games and have time to waste, definitely check it out.

Brings back good memories of AC Brotherhood multiplayer, only without everyone running on roofs like idiots. Also this has dedicated servers so it's at no risk of a multiplayer shutdown like the AC games. There are a few mechanics to encourage stealthy game play and penalise running around like mad.
My one complaint is that guards are a little bit silly. Guards work by policing an area and preventing hostile actions. They can become temporarily distracted, during which time hostile actions can take place near the guard. Where things get silly is that you can be arrested for attempting to stun someone hunting you in front of a guard. The guard then scribbles in his notebook, which means he is "distracted". The hunter that the guard prevented you from stunning now kills you literally a foot away from the guard as they continue scribbling.
If you can avoid that bit of silliness, it's definitely worth a few bucks on sale. Servers are empty, so grab a few friends to play with. It does have bots if you have no friends, but they don't pose much of a challenge.
