3D Point-and-click adventure puzzle game wrapped in cinematic 2D cut-scenes.
After a concerning message left on Rob’s answer-phone from his panicked-sounding twin, Nick, he rushes to his brother’s office to try and find a hidden mask. Not long into the search, things take a very dangerous turn…
Who is the dead man in the newspaper article? What is so important about this mask? And where is his brother?
Mirrored – Chapter 1 is the first part in this escape-the-room style trilogy.

Maybe I shouldn't write a review on a game after only playing it for one hour.
So let's not call it a review but just a 'first impression' .
I'm feeling the need to write this because after playing about 6 different games in different genres today I was more than pleasantly surprised by this one.
It has a great art style, all the items are worked out really well, the puzzles logical the responsiveness of mouse and keys really direct (something that's often lacking) so that you don't waste time trying to click something that just won't be clicked but should be. The overall atmosphere is suspensefull which is nicely enhanced by the music and the sound of for instance the rain and the voices.
Often I try a new game and find out after about half an hour that I won't be liking it for sure. Well, this one's the opposite: I am really drawn into the story of a twin brother trying to find out what is happening to his 'other half' .
So, once I finish this first chapter I will write an update, for now I recommend this to anyone who likes point and click adventures.

Your twin brother seems in trouble, so, you head for his office to find an hidden mask. It's the night, it's raining and you're nearly in the dark. What will you find?
As Mirrored is an episodic game, for now, Chapter 1 is only released. It serves as a teasing given the ending. I can't say anything about the plot: that first taste is generating questions and I would like to see how chapter 2 will answer (or not) these.
It's a point & click game: you look around, you read descriptions about objects, you combine some in your inventory, you use others where it seems to be appropriate and you solve some puzzles. I've just a little complaint to make: the inventory isn't really practical. You need to open it and let it open if you want to use an object around. I'm so used to have the object outside the inventory that I was kinda lost.
Also, I must say that I was already asking myself for 10 minutes about what to do. It was clear that the darkness in the office played a lot in that as I didn't see the only element left and that would be useful for the rest. I would have preferred to use already the flashlight: only the desk lamp was open and wasn't sufficient for the room.
The puzzles, given the fact that they're in English, could be hard for those not speaking it. I couldn't really have found the password for the laptop because despite seeing the hint, I didn't find really the answer. I had some parts of it in the head but the first sentence wasn't clear for me. Another puzzle was finding the code for the safe. It's not really easy to tie it to clues you found. Perhaps a little more subtle guidance could be imagined?
The graphics are good, though you see only the office during the chapter. However, the cutscenes are drawned I must say that the style is enough for the game. It's reminding me of another game, Return:Null, that I'm waiting the third chapter to really review it.
The soundtrack is also good, though limited as you don't really spend a hour to finish the game (and if it takes more, it means either that you were really stuck or that you paused and did something else or that you were idling cards, like I'm currently doing while writing this review).
Because Mirrored - Chapter 1 is short. Very short. Just a tease so that you have to buy the rest if you want to know the ending of the whole arc. True, I'm used to episodic formats - Space Pilgrim, Return:Null, Blues and Bullets, The Walking Dead (both seasons), The Wolf Is Among Us, Tales from the Borderlands... - but it's the first time that I felt a little cheated. Each episode of the games I've mentionned were more consistants than staying in an office and clicking everywhere - you're not even walking, you're turning around on the same spot. I'm probably not seeing Mirrored as a "complete" chapter, more like a prologue or a teasing.
The price is 3 bucks, so, it may explain the shortness too. It's not really expensive.
If I recommend Mirrored? Yeah. It's a polished chapter, a neat one, without encountered bugs. But if you don't like staying in the same spot, in an unique room, you should probably avoid it.

7/10 - The Birth of Another Strong Episodic Series
I really love some things about this game. Comic-like cut scenes and interactive puzzles and point and click objectives. Graphics are pretty good and the storyline keeps you pushing forward.
(EDIT) I had some complaints with the original controls but within a few days the developers listened and corrected the issue. I'm impressed!
Regardless, I look forward to grabbing the next episode whenever that may be! Hopefully soon!
Worth the $2.99! Easy.

Mirrored is a point-and-click adventure game with puzzles.
Game have a good story and really nice old style graphic.
Episode is not too long so you will always find some time to complete it. Also puzzles have a good level of difficulty.
And I really appreciate developers help. They are active in Discussions and very nice, so if anyone have any questions then just go an ask, devs are listening :)
I completed this game on Perfect so there are no problems with any achievement in this game (to all of you, Achievement Hunters!) :)

Great, logical point-n-click fun. Worth paying but go into it understanding that there's no Chapter 2 and at the end of this game you're going to say "aww man I wish there was more"

TLDR: If you like room escape puzzle games this is a good little title with an interesting story to get into.
At $2 it's easy to recommend this game. It's not like you can go wrong spending an hour messing around in a room trying to figure your way out. I could perhaps argue that a coule of the puzzle elements are too abstract, but that might just be me missing something that should make it obvious. Only other negative thing I could possibly say is that there are a couple of dodgy puns in there. It's also worth noting that there is a nice system that lets you only do things the character is aware of, so you can't just click on stuff until things happen.
In summery. It's fun. Musics nice. Art is nice. Story is interesting.

Mirrored - Chapter 1 is a 3d point and click, puzzle adventure game.
Rob finds a rather cryptic message from his twin brother Nick and following his brother's suggestion he sets off to explore his office.
This is the basic premise behind the game in what seems like an exciting mystery to solve.
Gameplay:
The game is fairly simple. Your rotate the camera around the room and click on items to examine or collect them.
You have an inventory of sorts where you can examine items, use them on the environment or one with another. The interface works although at times it feels a bit clunky (the inventory/journal part).
The entire chapter 1 evolves inside the office and chapters are separated by 2d cutscenes which are very nicely done.
The puzzles are pretty straightforward. At least to me. Though I have years of experience playing these types of games. I managed to finish the entire chapter in about half an hour.
People not really used to P&C adventure games will probably take much more. That said, this first chapter is somewhat short.
Graphics:
The graphics are nice but nothing too fancy. It is worth mentioning that I did not notice much difference between the quality presets.
Music/Sound Design:
Well done and fitting the atmosphere of the game. I found it very nice that at some part the music track made me feel anxious, as being in danger. It works very good with the setting.
Story:
The story is mysterious and looks very very interesting. This first chapter though leaves you on..let's say a cliffhanger. There are subtle hints on a few things but you really can not figure out where it is actually going by this chapter alone. While it does look very interesting, if it will "deliver" or not, will be seen in the next chapters. By the end of the game you will not know much and will probably have more questions than when you started playing it.
Pros:
-Solid 3d P&C adventure game.
-Atmosphere is mysterious and brooding.
-Presentation is very well done.
-Music works nicely, adding up to the game's atmosphere.
-Puzzles are very logical.
Neutral:
-Story looks very interesting but it doesn't really take off on this first chapter. It feels like an intro to something much bigger.
-Puzzles are very straightforward. Some may like this, others may want to squeeze their brain a bit more on such games.
Cons:
-Chapter 1 is rather short. I finished the game in about half an hour. Less experienced players on such games will probably take about an hour. Maybe a bit more.
Conclusion:
It is a very interesting, although rather short, game and I'm really curious to see where the story will go. Storywise I will rate it 7/10 because the story does not unfold enough for me to have a proper opinion.
Score:
Gameplay: 7/10
Graphics: 8/10
Music/Sound Design: 8/10
Concept/Story: 7/10
