Minoria

Minoria is the latest and most ambitious game from Bombservice, and a spiritual sequel to the Momodora series, from the same studio. Fans of Momodora will find familiar aspects in the design and gameplay elements, as they master the ins-and-outs of parries, dodges, and a variety of different spells. The presentation has evolved to an HD format, with aesthetics mixing 2D hand-painted backgrounds and cel-shaded characters. The story takes place during the fourth Witch War. It is a time of fanatical religious fervor. The Sacred Office, a powerful organization leading an Inquisition against heresy, purges the sinners who threaten humanity. Those responsible for conducting a mysterious ceremony that contradicts the rules of the Church are labeled “witches.” Set forth with Sisters Semilla and Fran, missionaries in the Church’s service, on their journey to thwart the witches’ ceremony and protect the common-folk from heresy that endangers the status quo.

- daje swobodę: chcesz przeć do przodu i zaciekle walcząc - śmiało, chcesz expić by być op i mieć łatwo - też możesz
- przedmioty wzmacniające w grze to kadzidła, niektóre połączenia dają fajne efekty (np.: z pasywnych stun + rzutki z broni).

"Sin comes with a price, for some, one too large a burden."
Minoria is a pleasent surprise, reminds me a Momodora especially Reveire Under Moonlight as much as I wanted. They are both dark games with very good cute and detailed art. Minoria is more relaxing though, it's easy to finish and complete the whole game in one run, without missing a thing, meanwhile still having some content after finishing it.
Let's start with lore, story is interesting two nuns on a mission to save princess and a falling kingdom from witches influence, but is it all in the name of greater good? Visuals of castle and round-abouts are great and moody. History of the nearby areas are served in notes but they are detailed enough to create small world view, if that's not enough there are also short messages from our companion, few dialogues in each zone. Combat is very fluent with more and more options for items and movement. Although it get's relatively simple the further you get. Few mechanics do way to much damage with invincibility on top of counter.
Soundtrack is suitable to each location with dark and mystery vibes and main theme. I would say that everything here is slightly more polished than Reveire Under Moonlight. Story in all is satisfying, enough to justify a very good reviews. it's hard to dislike Minoria especially if you are into platformers on moody nights.

Little Metroidvania with swordmaster nun slaying witches. Lusty witch is nice witch.

The game is cool and pretty, and combat is enjoyable.
My only nitpick is that the bosses suck; they deal too much damage.
Finnal boss litteraly deals 90% of your hp
I think the problem lies with your inability to increase your damage, and the spells suck balls because they useless and deal close to snezing.
Bosses become bullet sponges.
I enjoyed the game until the end.
