Midnight Witch
In this 90’s anime-inspired, wave-based, 2D run-and-gun side-scroller, you play as a magical girl on the side of light. Load out your arsenal of spells to free the legion of spirits corrupted by the legion of shadow. Progress through an ever changing forest, to get to the bottom of what’s causing the corruption. What is the legion of shadow and what do they want with our world? Defeat waves of enemies to find the truth.
With different elements at your disposal, combine them with light to create powerful explosions of magic to push back the dark. Dodge and position yourself to make the most of the spell patterns to deliver the strongest attacks possible. The forest is dangerous though, you’ll need help. Meet a mysterious person who offers his wares in exchange for purging the dark. No matter how you choose to play, the forest needs your help to free the light once more.

This is one of THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VNs I have ever read, and one of my ALL TIME favorite VNs. Do not miss out playing/reading it. Otherwise you won't have lived a full lfie. The story truly resonated with me and took me on a roller coaster ride of emotions.

More seriously, this is a very good reading, around 4-5 hours max so it's easy to play between longer games.

This was an amazing experience, from the start it had such a nice vibe to it and the ways the story kept shocking me in a good way it truly is one of the best VNs I have ever played. I can't say much other than, Bren please keep on making games, I really hope you do because this was so worth the time played, and I will surely replay it again just to have that feeling again (also on a side note ty for giving us plenty of save files, those certainly helped lol)
tl;dr: play this game and enjoy it cause nothing will hit you like the first time going through the story
