Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
Konami Digital Entertainment continues forth the ‘METAL GEAR SOLID V Experience’ with the latest chapter, METAL GEAR SOLID V: The Phantom Pain. Ushering in a new era for the franchise with cutting-edge technology powered by the Fox Engine, MGSV: The Phantom Pain will provide players a first-rate gaming experience as they are offered tactical freedom to carry out open-world missions.
Nine years after the events of MGSV: GROUND ZEROES and the fall of Mother Base, Snake a.k.a. Big Boss, awakens from a nine year coma. The year is 1984. The Cold War serves as the backdrop as nuclear weapons continue to shape a global crisis.
The METAL GEAR SOLID team continues to ambitiously explore mature themes such as the psychology of warfare and the atrocities that result from those that engage in its vicious cycle. One of the most anticipated games of the year with its open-world design, photorealistic visual fidelity and feature-rich game design.

One of best games I've ever played and completed and I'm 50 years of age.

After 1,426.6 hrs playing this game...
I think I can finally put my 2.5 cents on this game, so here it goes:
Today, we are starting to see games being made half arsed, released half done, micro-transactioned, and optimized half done.
Konami, ill give you this, you beat everyone on that front, 4 years early too.
However, thanks to MY BOI HIDEO and the wonderful people at Kojima Productions , they were able to make a game, although it was half completed, more complete than most games today.
Let me start with the cons first:
The missions feel a bit watered down, thanks to Konami we got some missions that are a bit repetitive. At one point I felt like Mother Base itself was going to be a mission, besides the retaking platform mission, but was scrapped.
The story is missing content towards the end. Granted they give you the ending cutscene, and so, but feels like you didnt work towards the ending, like in the other Metal Gear games. Like "OH WE DIDNT FINISH THE GAME, SO HERE'S THE END"
...thanks Konami -_-
IF you play online MGO3 or FOB, beware of the cheaters :c
Online development for items online takes FOREVER (12-14 days at the max) at without mods
Camo only helps you blend in a little, unlike MGS3, the camo sometimes feels pointless.
For MGO color customize option, some cost MB coins, and its not worth it.
NOW, FOR THE PROS
Graphics are pretty great, for a game that came out 4 years ago, it holds up nicely. As IGN would say "This game really makes you feel like you are in Soviet Controlled Afghanistan or African Controlled PF's in Africa."
The mechanics are the most fun in this game, whether you are fultoning a sheep, cargo, a human, or whatever allows you to prompt a fulton balloon on it, it never gets old. The stealth mechanics are pretty neat too, there is no "one way" only to sneak, you literally Improvise. Adapt. Overcome. Learn enemy body language, patterns, and calculate your next moves. Alternatively, you could go GUNS BLAZING and just go on a rampage, thats fun too :D
Your buddies you get to take with you :D
Quiet ;)
Great soundtrack and you get to play your favorite game soundtrack songs you find in game
Various weapons to choose from and you get to customize certain parts, so it comes in handy
Most of my hours are in FOB. FOB is actually pretty fun, despite the hackers and pesky defenders. You get to infiltrate another player's platform, and steal all their stuff! This is where the grind for constructing more base facilities comes to into play. Beware of the AI, they can be a pain in the neck and ruin a perfect stealth run. However, it makes it all the more challenging for me, and makes me prove my stealth to the max!
Free MB coins every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. So if you dont have to pay for MB coins unless you want to speed up production or buy something.
MGO has a very small community that plays still, I play it every once in a while. If you get enough people to play, its pretty fun, despite the lag issues and hackers that do join. You get to customize your character, choose a class, and change gear. Note: once you create a character you cant change their class unless you delete them and create a new one.
Every class has its own weapons, and items and they have strengths and weaknesses to each one. It can get pretty competitive, and if you know what you are doing, you can get the upper hand and come in clutch for your team. If there was a mulitplayer game that updated the game mechanics of MGO, lord i would play that over anything. But for now, this is the only game out there that does it.
Camo options that make you look cool, and the option to play as other staff members in free roam and in missions.
OVERALL:
If this game is ever on sale, get it, its worth it. But dont rush through it. Take your time and learn it, youll have more fun!

Where to start with this one? Perhaps, with the fact that I've never played a single MGS game before this one, not even MGS: Ground Zeroes. I picked it up on Steam as a stealth fan and I was blown away completely.
My first impressions were: this game definitely has to have at least a thousand mechanics, which it throws at the player at any one time. Saying that I was overwhelmed by the sheer number of possibilities at the start is a huge understatement. It might a while to figure out what's what and what are the best ways to use each gadget. I have to give the game props on how original some of the stealth mechanics are. I don't think I've seen any other game, where you can run around in a carton box or kidnap soldiers from the battlefield. Amazing stuff!
The story is even more confusing for a newbie. The game almost expects the players to thoroughly know the characters and the events that happened before the game. I still have more questions than answers after spending 100+ hours in the game. I guess I'll have to blame it on the lack of experience with the previous MGS games. All I can say is that the cast, the voice-acting, and the cinematics are top in the industry.
MGS V: The Phantom Pain is also an amazing looking and optimized game. I have encountered zero issues during my lengthy playthrough. Some of its environments are photorealistic, especially in Afghanistan. The African levels are just as immersive and believable, if not more.
The one complaint I have about MGS V, which does not concern the overabundance of gameplay mechanics, is the game's monotony. The side-missions are extremely repetitive and get increasingly more tedious to do, once you get to a certain point in the game. It's either: 'Go rescue that hostage' or 'Go blow up this convoy'. It gets boring the more you play them. I haven't tried out the multiplayer aspect of the game, but from what I've heard, it's pretty much dead.
Overall, incredible game, which offers an immersive sandbox experience with literally thousands of toys to play around and experiment with. Use them wisely and don't forget to summon your in-game buddies if you get lonely. They have some cards up in their sleeves (or bras...)!
