Merek’s Market
Merek’s Market is a chaotic crafting game about running a medieval shop.
We’ve all been that adventurer throwing down bags of gold to buy swords and shields, but what about the poor souls rushing around behind the shop counter? Strange customers? Yes. Over the top crafting challenges? You bet. A shop cat? Absolutely! Take ownership of Merek’s Market as you haggle, barter and craft your way through a comical single player campaign or team up with friends to supply the whole town.
Craft
Do you have the skill and craftsmanship to make beautiful artisanal items? Neither does Merek but putting a few items on a crafting table and hitting them with a hammer seem to turn up decent results.
Haggle
Skilfully negotiate your way into heady profits. Unethical side note, richer folk will pay through the nose for any product. Do with that information what you will.
Big…Customers
Battle absurd bosses and craft custom items for them. If you can’t manage that then at least try your best to keep your shop in one piece.
4 Player Local Co-op
- Can’t invite your friends round? You can play with your parents who will most definitely quickly grasp the controls and be useful team mates.
- Has the spark gone? Save the relationship with some quality time together.
- Do you struggle with the most basic of video games? Look like you’re doing something useful while your 3 friends carry you.

The game is very fun, very quirky. There are some flaws to the game though and I think they really hold it back. Co-op does not feel tuned to only 2 players. Some of the stores are huge and one or two extra people would make a world of difference. This is a big drawback for me. And while the general concept is very fun, some of the side stuff they add just feels poorly tuned and unfun (again, especially with only 2 players). Trying to control the mouse population or the level where both the queue and iron/coal/clay are controlled by pressure switches just feels bad. 10/10 for 'boss' levels. Also enjoyed the mechanic with the endless dropping items.
With a little TLC, this game would get a 10 of 10 overall for me. Right now though, I'd have to leave it at a 6 or 7 (for co-op play).

To be honest, I thought the graphics would have made this game unplayable, however, I pleasantly surprised with this game.
If you have played Overcooked or Witchtastic, this is certainly a fun game to try out.
pick-up, throw, crafting, smelting, and mini-games are some of their features.
I was surprised to see that the Campaign game and the multiplayer game are actually set-up quite differently and to fully beat the game you would have to play both.
A nice game to play with my wife.

Really fun game - like Overcooked without the frustrating bits. I liked the humour and there's plenty of different levels to complete

Great co-op experience. Very creative ideas. Similar to Overcooked and DIner Bros.

This game was so fun and addictive. Loved trying to get higher in the leaderboards even if it wasn't near the top. Would very much recommend.

Hidden gem of a game similar to Overcooked. Played the Co-op with 2 players. Getting gold on each map was quite the challenge but we managed to get them all. Would highly recommend!

To start with. I find it really sad that this game has so few reviews. The game is amazing, with some small improves it can be easily compared with overcooked and for some people it can be even better. I can easily say its the second best of its gender.
I finished all the stages coop with my girlfriend. We are both overcooked big fans and we really enjoyed this game. The only issues we had was with some few stages that are not balanced to play with 2 players, so we just manage to pass them and small issues with placing items in the correct table when it had other tables around. But nothing else...
The game is amazing and its not stuck on overcooked logic. It has new ideas to offer, like the "boss" stages usually are to create a big item, like a wagon or something, which has a kinda complex new recipes to do and meanwhile you have to service customers. Which we find it really unique and great idea.
It has a solo campaign as well, which has a story with dialog and stuff. Haven't finished that yet but its pretty interesting as well. In case you are wondering if you can play it solo.
Anyway i really recommend it and really looking forward for some expansions or other new challenges on the game
