Medusa’s Labyrinth
Medusa’s Labyrinth is a very short mythological first-person horror game set in ancient Greece. It takes myths and legends that have stayed with us for over 2000 years and mix them together in a game that blends horror with stealth.
The player will have to carefully pick their path through the abandoned hallways on Temple Island, through winding catacombs and dark corners to solve the mysteries that lurk within the labyrinth.
The game in it’s current state was originally planned to be a part of a much larger game, but we decided to launch this version as a short free adventure, so anyone with a Steam account can play it without paying a dime. We really hope you will enjoy the experience, as we made it public for just that reason: For you people to get a glimpse of what Medusa could have become with a longer production time and additional funding. Right now we are working on something similar, a spiritual sequel to Medusa and we hope to show/tell you more about it soon!

Not bad for a free demo.
A walking simulator with some horror elements - with some work it could even be a decent psychological horror if you remove the monster. Maybe a setting could be added if it ever gets a full release because the monster doesn't really add VERY much to the experience, especially if it's standing between the player and a note (pretty much where you're getting the story from) - more of a nuisance really.
I think the whole walking around, reading notes, admiring the scenery and such is THE GAME and the monster is just there.
Graphics are nice.
There's little notes to read which add some backstory.
The sound/atmosphere at times is what stood out most to me - peaceful/tranquil in places but creepy/sinister in others.
Movement is a bit sluggish and general gameplay a bit clunky.
Some more variety in the environment would be good because most of the game takes place in some dark, creepy catacombs - for the demo it's fine though.
I'd say add several more levels, fill them with notes to read, the odd monster between you and the exit (optional), a puzzle or two I guess (nothing too annoying but more about putting the bow to use) - and you'd have yourself a nice, little indie game. Achievements/trading cards for the nerds would be a welcome bonus I'm sure. Anything else could only enhance what's already there I think.
Overall, a solid first impression and I think it's going in the right direction - just needs MORE content.

Very short but it has an underground maze. For free it's alright!

Can't help but feel the main character is woefully unprepared as they get fucked up by a Will Smith monster slap.
