Machinarium is the award-winning independent adventure game developed by the makers of Samorost and Botanicula. A little robot who’s been thrown out to the scrap yard behind the city must return and confront the Black Cap Brotherhood and save his robot-girl friend.

Machinarium is one of two games, that was also played by my wife, who is somewhat not a gamer at all, she got deeply engaged with story and cute art and of course the funny and really tough puzzles, actually I had to complete some challenges for her, but still..
It's a beautiful game, and if for some reason you missed it, make sure to grab it and give it at least few evenings!

Absolutely loved the nostalgic feeling I had while playing this game, as it is one of my childhood games. I like the simple yet well done story line, which has tasks and puzzles. Its definitely a game that one can relax by while playing. I would recommend this to anyone!

Auch 15 Jahre nach dem ersten Besuch in Machinarium immer noch gut. Aber auch 15 Jahre später stört mich die Steuerung noch in Teilen.

Beautiful and funny. A lot of logic puzzles, which is nice because that means no moon logic possible, but there are also point and click puzzles that aren't easy to understand duo to the robotic setting.
Anyway, if you like adventure games, you probably already bought this one by now.

Gutes Spiel, gute Rätsel, es macht Spaß. Kreativ und sinnvoll.

I first saw Machinarium more than a decade ago when I was a kid, watching my cousin play and trying to solve puzzles with him. It really stuck in my head. A couple of years ago I finally bought it myself – and I’ve played through it twice since then.
Both playthroughs were about two years apart, and both times felt almost just like the first. The atmosphere, the puzzles, the style – it just hits the same way every time.
The puzzles are really clever. Some of them towards the end really made me stop and think hard. I even had to take a 10-minute break now and then, and when I came back, I finally got it – which felt super satisfying. Most of the time you don’t even need hints, and if you do, the way hints are shown is so creative it doesn’t feel like cheating at all.
The music is calm and kind of melancholic, fits the rusty robot world perfectly. It’s such a relaxing point-and-click game with beautiful hand-drawn visuals, a unique vibe, and a lot of heart. Highly recommend it – especially if you’ve got any nostalgic connection to it like I do.
