Macabre
Macabre won’t be your stock-standard, cliché horror. No haunted house. Or creepy asylum. But a fresh take on the genre that explores unchartered territory. Moving beyond cheap jump scares and gore, Macabre will create an immersively terrifying and profoundly unsettling atmosphere that gets your heart pumping and your hairs on edge.
In our eyes, it’s the unknown that’s scary. That’s why in Macabre, everything from maps to objectives and puzzles are completely randomised. So every time you play, you’ll never know what unique set of challenges awaits. The objective is simple.Work with (or against) other players to solve procedurally generated puzzles to escape. But watch out! As you search for clues, you’ll need to keep an eye out for the cunning creatures that watch your every move, waiting for the opportune moment to strike! But what about Single player?Macabre completely supports the diehard horror fans, with procedural maps that scale to the number of players. We just think you’ll stand a more of a chance in company.DevelopmentBuilt in Unreal Engine 5 for PC, Macabre will bring the immersive and terrifying experience of high-end single-player horror games to a multiplayer audience.

I enjoy the gameplay loop of hiding from the crawler, collecting items to earn money while completing objectives, and then escaping to finish the mission. In contrast, the looming threat of losing all your items and objective progress if the mission fails makes it a bit stressful, but it becomes rewarding if you succeed. However, it becomes dull due to the AI's behaviour, which depends on the difficulty level.

The Team and I played this and I gotta say its actually really fun to play when you have a group with you, especially when you get to lead the monster to each other or throw the sonic plunger thingy at each others faces. The Time of my play looks short only because I played 2 hours on the playtest before this Early access release today, so I actually have about 3 hours into the game.

Backed it on Kickstarter, just wanted to say ignore all the... characters who are dissing the game. You should never back something on kickstarter if you are later planning on leaving a negative review while its not even close to complete. Furthermore, disregard anyone who bought an early access game just to later leave a negative review as well. Why buy a game you know is incomplete if you aren't prepared to experience issues with gameplay and progression? Give the devs a damn second to whip the game into shape instead of moaning about anything and everything. The Devs are clearly passionate about this and are in it for the long haul. That ALONE is worthy of major respect in a time of pump and dump Indie games. So, shame on every single one of you leaving negative reviews on an early access game being worked on by a SMALL dev team. You people are the reason gaming is dying a slow and eventual death. To the devs, keep up the good work, i for one dont regret my kickstarter back, and look forward to what you do in the future!

I’m honestly a bit sad to see this game sitting at mixed reviews. I’ve been following it for quite a while, even taking part in the early demo testing, and my friend and I have been really excited to watch its development.
From the short time I’ve spent with the full release so far, it’s clear the devs have put in far more effort than most horror games we see today. One of my biggest concerns during the demo was optimization - I could barely run it on low settings with my RTX 3060. Now, without changing anything relevant in my setup, I’m running the game on Epic settings at a consistent 60+ FPS. That alone is a massive improvement.
Visually, the game looks great. It may not have AAA graphics, but the atmosphere, map design, and overall eerie tone make it genuinely terrifying in the best way. I’m really excited to see where development goes from here and I’ll definitely be sticking around to follow it.
Awesome concept, decent content foundation, impressive ambitions, and huge progress so far. Overall, I’d confidently rate it an 8/10 - and I truly believe it has the potential to become a 10/10 in the future.

The game just released into Early Access.
It's for sure noticeable here and there that it has some bugs (like the creature getting stuck at a staircase sometimes), but it's okay, as I said, it just released into Early Access, meaning it's a non-finished Project.
I played it with a friend for around 5 hours, and we had a lot of fun. This game has a lot of potential and deserves way more attention.
We will for sure play it more once my friend and I have more time to do so.
Thank you, Weforge Studio, for this awesome game.
keep up the good work!

My friend and I have now been playing for the past few hours and truly is a creepy, and terrifying game. So far we have worked out how to use majority of the items, but we have both found it somewhat difficult figuring out how the seeker tools actually work. There is no tutorial, no video's, generally not much information to go on, on how to use them. I do hope we can work it out, but would be great to have the information within the game.
I can really see a lot of potential for this game, and I do hope the Devs don't give up on it like other creators have with their game. It's a lot of fun especially with friends. I hope we get new maps soon.

Somebody ♥♥♥♥ in my pants while I was hiding under a bed from this wendigo looking thing. 11/10, get this if you like horror movies where the monster has the upperhand and want to experience it yourself.
