Lovebirb is a rhythm-based dating game about finding love one date at a time. Go on Bumbirb and swipe away to meet hot and single birbs in your area! Impress them by showing your best moves to the beat of the music. Sometimes you’ll succeed. Sometimes… it gets a little awkward. But fret not! You have plenty of chances to find your perfect tempo. So keep swiping!

God I love this style of art and humor, unfortunately it just refuses to work for me. I'm usually pretty good at rhythm games, and have a pretty good sense of beat after 6 years of fluting in various orchestras and also choir work. I don't know what to do! I've tried literally every offset option in both ways. I can't hit the beat and it's infuriating me.
But if you can get it to work I highly recommend it!

What an absolute treat this little free game is! Here's my quick run down on the good stuff and the not so good stuff about Lovebirb!
THE GOOD STUFF -
- it's FREE?!?! Seriously, this game is a short one but it's so well done I still can't believe it's free.
- The art is so cute and fun! Every birb was adorable, each scene simple but cute
- The music was pleasant and worked well with the overall vibe of the game. While it wasn't typical rhythm game music, it was nice enough and worked because the rhythm portions of this game are very, very short.
- Underneath the humor and the cutesy setup of this game, the dating sim portion of this is actually really well done. I found myself invested in how each relationship would end up and was pleasantly surprised by some of the end messages.
- Wonderfully funny writing, I absolutely loved reading the dialogue in this game
- Everything about this game is bite sized. It's essentially a short dating sim with mini games spliced in to represent dates. I beat this game in just over two hours.
THE NOT SO GOOD STUFF -
- I would not call this a true rhythm game, as the parts of this game that have that are very short and less about getting into the music or feeling it and more about getting a short sequence of keys correctly.
- IF YOU WANT TO REACH THE END OF THE ROMANCE STORY WITH EACH BIRB you need to be aware of this! Once you reach the FINAL stage with the birb of choice, the game is over. You CANNOT go back and do the ending with another one. You will need to start over. So if you're a completionist like me, you will want to only focus on dating ONE birb and finishing it completely before restarting the game and doing it with a new birb. I do wish there were a way to avoid this because you don't find out until you reach the end stage with your date of choice.
- This isn't a bad thing, but people should be aware also that the humor in this game is very adult in nature. That might take someone by surprise given the rather innocent looking aesthetic, but the humor was a bit tongue in cheek and naughty! ;)

This game's very charming. It can be a bit of a struggle to get passed the tutorial stages, but once you get the hang of it, it's a pretty enjoyable game. The gameplay is fairly simplistic, but combining that with the unique characters and adorable art makes for a lovely experience. This game isn't content-filled, but it doesn't need to be, it's great the way it is: A simple, cute, lighthearted game about birds on a dating app. This game's rhythm mechanics are also nice, though become extremely easy after the initial learning period, which may bother some. I'd certainly recommend this game to anyone that enjoys quick games, lighter themes and/or is big on aesthetics.

It's a rhythm dating game where you play as Finch, a bird that recently experienced a breakup and is now looking for someone new. At the start of Lovebirb, Finch's best friend introduces him to a dating app to help him find a life partner. To answer a date's question successfully, the player must input a button sequence in time with the visual indicator for whichever of the two answers are correct. The rhythm-based gameplay is simple but fun; however, the timing can feel awkward at the start. It took me a couple of tries to get through the tutorial. The conversations with dates can be fun to read, with each bird resulting in a different ending. Overall, Lovebirb is a short game with a cute story with multiple endings that can be fun for about an hour or two if the player can get the timing of the inputs down.
