Load Roll Die
Load your die in this dicebuilding roguelike all about creating and exploiting combos! Every face on your set of dice can be a unique weapon in your battle to the top. Duel enemies each with their own armament of dice and smash their faces, outplay their strategies, and deal deadly damage to take them out. Steal faces from enemies you beat to trade in at the store or incorporate into your winning strategy. The right combination of dice can let you tank damage, reroll faces, create new dice from scratch and much more, but only if you play them right!

The die is the limit!
Earn faces from enemies, shops, and chests you encounter along the way. Add them to your dice set and figure out the best way to play. Each run you encounter different maps, different dice, and different synergies to take down your opponents!

Exciting and strategic dice combat!!! Its lots of fun discovering all the different ways you can combine different dice faces to create a unique battle plan. The dice and plentiful cardboard landscapes feel really physical and its satisfying rolling a bunch of dice at once and watching them pile up! Dice go brrrrrrrrrrrrr!

this game is really fun. it's like battle yahtzee where you can make your own dice. it also has great adjustable graphics and approachability features! really recommend giving it a try.

I was given this game for free a few days before the official launch, so my 2-ish hours are solely based on that build. No, I was not given compensation for playing the game and my review is unbiased.
Load Roll Die is a Roguelite Dicebuilder game, in which you move your little blob character through various randomized maps, fighting enemies and bosses, collecting different types of dice and powers for each die. It's a very challenging game, but in a way I don't think it really should be. Being a game revolving around dice, it's reliance on RNG is almost absolute, with an almost healthy amount of strategy involved, given that you can create some interesting and powerful builds if you have the right powers and the correct dice, but it's always a gamble to see what you loot from enemies, find in chests and buy from shops, which items are sometimes overly expensive for the small amount of currency you get overall. Enemies get from easy to hard really quickly as well, each one having their own specific builds that sometimes are perfected to do something specific, such as replicating dice, dealing a lot of poison damage, destroying a bunch of your own dice, etc, most of which are extremely reliable and non-RNG dependant, contrary to your shabby builds at those levels. Some other issues lie in QoL stuff, such as some powers being confusing to understand from their descriptions being vague or poorly explained, and how at the start of the game you can start off without any dice on accident, making you unable to advance.
One thing I noticed is that there are accessibility options that allow you to halven enemy damage, double your own damage, make you invincible etc so you can just enjoy a more sandboxy playthrough, and that's pretty cool but I don't consider it to be a "fix" to the balancing issues, since it's an alternate way to mess with difficulty options instead of playing the game the way it's meant to be played.
Now, why am I recommending the game, despite talking about multiple flaws and balance issue I had during each session? Well, the game is still very fun to play, the multitude of different powers is always nice to experiment with in different strategies, the RNG is personally something that I welcome in general, even if in this game it can be a bit too much, and really I think this game has a lot of potential to grow better, given that the developers provide balancing changes, QoL updates and just keep working on the game. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to test the game out prior to its release, and I really look forward to what you guys will do with it. Cheers.

Gameplay has a surprising amount of depth with the custom dice and dice defense mechanics. Definitely worth playing, looking forward to more games / updates from the studio.

An interesting game. The ability to modify your die is a great concept and allows for very high customization. The UI is somewhat lacking, but this game has a lot of potential.

This game can be challenging at times and gets harder as you go but it has amazing potential. It is fun and easy to pick up. You can play for hours and is a unique game with a art style I find funny and simple but great. Another thing is you need to strategize your dice combination and you need to think on your feet. The thing I find a bit problematic but adds to the challenging part of the game is how some enemy can get to 30+ damage from poison attacks, but again this adds to the challenge. I will say their are some dice that just dont work or work but not as intended or confuse me on what their meant to do, this can cause me confusion but I do still recommend the game.
