Lewd Island

Graphic quality is very good, the good stuff is worthwhile, but be warned, it takes a long time to get there, this is one of those games where you might hit the 2 hour mark without coming across too much of the good stuff. Also, main female character can be quite unlikable for much of the game, and there is definitely an ick factor with the relationship of the main characters, but if that is your thing, or you can accept them as 'co-workers' even though they have a longstanding personal connection, the nthis game is ultimately worth your while. On the other hand, not sure I am going back to get all of the endings or missing scenes, but I did feel like I got value from this purchase

I haven't quite hit two hours yet, and I'm not sure if I'll return it. Even if I do, though, I say that this is actually an enjoyable VN - if you like more of a slow-burn personal drama over the usual porn video logic of people getting down to it in the first five minutes.
I checked this out after being impressed by "Helping out the Hotties". It shows that this came first. No voice acting, not as many choices, and outside of a few special screens, not a lot of "click-and-point" elements.
Also, much less nudity and sex. Plenty, yes, but much less.
The draw for me so far is the slow-burn relationship between the MC and Bella. Instead of a harem, it's all about these two, and it's slow, slow, slow. For me this is actually overdue and interesting.
The name "Lewd" is justified, though. Each day has some sexual content to it, mostly teases in the diagetic world where the MC and Bella are stuck on an island; then, there are dreams the MC and Bella have, where the hardcore stuff is. These hardcore scenes are needed as release for the blue-balls caused by Bella's and MC's ongoing tension.
Still, these randier scenes aren't until much later in the story, so don't expect to just boot the game up and get your sleep-aid chemical wash in five minutes.

Taken for what it is, it's interesting and likable to see the foundation on which xRed Games built Helping out the Hotties, with its flaws, but also some merits; and now that I've met both, I look forward to seeing what's next from them.

The first work of XRed Games is a multiple-choice visual novel with dramatic tones, but with a cheerful soundtrack, which is somewhat affected by its age, but which, thanks to the beautiful models of the female protagonist and the other girls, as well as the, unfortunately not many and yet silent, well-animated scenes, it still manages to be appreciated.
The story sees us shipwrecked on a desert island after a plane crash together with Bella*, a girl with whom our relationship is established arbitrarily at the beginning, but canonically, also thanks to the Patreon rules, we wouldn't be her father**, but rather her friend. Our adventure for survival starts from here, but soon some events too fortuitous to be random, and some disturbingly long, vivid and strange dreams, will begin to color the story with an aura of mystery, also seasoned by the emotional impact that our not-relationship with the girl will evolve during the course of the plot. A rather sloppy condiment to be honest, but at least it tries, however adding emotional disturbances and mental anguish to a porn film plot isn't necessarily a great idea, although it serves to give a semblance of realism and a greater sense of depth to the story , but it also tends to break the "atmosphere" a bit , at least at the beginning.
The title isn't maybe an undisputed masterpiece of its genre, nor does it stand out for its variety or quantity of characters, but it still does its job, managing, after a slow start, to pleasantly entertain the player for a more than decent amount of time. Furthermore, apart from some different endings, it is also possible to run into some premature game over, therefore, in addition to saving with a certain frequency, taking the official guide in .pdf, available as a free DLC, is also highly recommended (you can find it by browsing local files, in the "WALKTROUGH" folder), also useful for unlocking the entire replay gallery (although not exactly perfect for everything, for example, it doesn't tell that to unlock in the gallery "Day 8 - Stomach" on Day 8, morning you have to choose "Follow MC" (yourself) -> "Go for a swim" OR "Go fishing" (in case you don't catch two fishes don't "Give it another go", but "Do something else" instead) -> "Meet FC (Bella) at the hut" -> "You're happy", or that the achievement "Land Ho!" seems to only be unlockable if you have not intervened in Camila's defense previously).
* : whose name can be changed, by doing so you will also be asked to enter what type of relationship she has with us, in practice we are asked to choose how we will address her, or, at least, that will be one of the ways in which we will do it.
**: similarly to what happens for her, if you do not choose to change your name, "Edward", "friend" will be automatically chosen as the type of relationship with her, otherwise we will be asked to enter one and this will be how she will address us.
Personal note: the best girl here, needless to say, is Bella, whose butt in the thong of the red swimsuit is essentially the driving element of three-quarters of the plot as well as the most beautiful thing of the whole story, followed by Laurie, Violet and Cara, with Lucy and Camila as honorable mentions.

La prima opera di XRed Games è una visual novel a scelta multipla dai toni drammatici, ma dall'allegra colonna sonora, che risente un po' della sua età, ma che, complici i bei modelli della protagonista femminile e delle altre ragazze, nonché le, purtroppo non molte e pure silenziose, scene ben animate, sa farsi comunque apprezzare.
La storia ci vede naufraghi su un'isola deserta dopo un'incidente aereo insieme a Bella*, una ragazza con la quale la nostra relazione è stabilita arbitrariamente all'inizio, ma canonicamente, complici anche le regole di Patreon, noi non saremmo suo padre**, bensì un suo amico. Da qui parte la nostra avventura per la sopravvivenza, ma ben presto alcuni avvenimenti troppo fortuiti per essere casuali, e alcuni sogni inquietantemente lunghi, vividi e strani, inizieranno a tingere la vicenda con un alone di mistero, condita anche dall'impatto emozionale che l'evolversi della nostra non-relazione con la ragazza avrà durante lo svolgimento della trama. Un condimento abbastanza sciapetto a dirla tutta, ma almeno ci prova, tuttavia aggiungere turbe emotive e paturnie mentali ad una trama da film porno non è necessariamente una grande idea, per quanto serva a dare una parvenza di realismo e un senso di profondità maggiore alla storia, tende però anche a rompere un po' l'"atmosfera" , almeno all'inizio.
Il titolo magari non sarà un capolavoro indiscusso nel suo genere, e nemmeno spicca per varietà o quantità di personaggi, ma fa comunque il suo lavoro, riuscendo, dopo un inizio lento, ad intrattenere piacevolmente il giocatore per un più che dignitoso quantitativo di tempo. Inoltre, a parte alcuni differenti finali, è possibile incappare pure in qualche game over prematuro, quindi, oltre a salvare con una certa frequenza, anche prendere la guida ufficiale in .pdf, disponibile come DLC gratuito, è caldamente consigliato (la si trova sfogliando i file locali, nella cartella "WALKTROUGH"), utile pure per sbloccare tutta la galleria dei replay (anche se non proprio perfetta per tutto, per esempio, non dice che per sbloccare nella galleria "Day 8 - Stomach" bisogna, alla mattina del Day 8, scegliere "Follow MC" (te stesso) -> "Go for a swim" oppure "Go fishing" (in caso non si prendano 2 pesci "Do something else") -> "Meet FC (Bella) at the hut" -> "You're happy", oppure che l'achievement "Land Ho!" sembra essere sbloccabile solo se non si è intervenuti in difesa di Camila in precedenza).

Nota personale: la best girl qui, manco a dirlo, è Bella, il cui didietro nel tanga del costume rosso è sostanzialmente l'elemento trainante di tre quarti della storia nonché la cosa più bella dell'intera vicenda, seguita da Laurie, Violet e Cara, con Lucy e Camila come menzioni d'onore.
