Lempo
“Sometimes you get truly lost. That’s when you call someone, and they send rescue people to get you. But what if they can’t find you? What if you are so lost, it is impossible for them to find you.
Do you believe in fantasy worlds? I didn’t either. Until I found myself in one.”
Lempo is a psychological horror game inspired by Finnish mythology in which you play as Paul, your casual 9 to 5 guy, lost in a forest after his day of work. Uncover stories of people who were trapped in Metsänpeitto before. Make use of what little items you come by to find out what’s happening in this eerie place and go back to your peaceful life before this malevolent forest consumes you.
Explore Lempo’s forest
Metsänpeitto’s darkness is treacherous, light up your way with a lighter and flashlight to investigate environments filled with items to find and mysteries to unveil… But don’t go too fast or you’ll get lost, use your compass if you ever want to escape this damned forest. You will encounter souls during your journey in Lempo. Follow them! They might show and tell you clues you’re looking for.
Based on Finnish mythology
The story of Lempo lies in a dark fantastic world, Metsänpeitto. A plane kept together with souls’ energy received from living beings. This is no place for a human, do not dilly dally during your explorations as Metsänpeitto is a twisted realm where the laws of our world don’t matter. Or else you might encounter beings beyond the realm of possibilities.
An immersive psychological nightmare
Experience a living nightmare with Lempo’s shivering visual and sound atmosphere. Paul is unfortunately not daydreaming. To escape this uncanny forest you will have to face unspeakable events and beings beyond your imagination.
Lempo’s mysteries
You won’t need to fight to escape the forest, but you will have to decipher puzzles during your exploration. Dig deep in Metsänpeitto’s mysteries and solve every puzzle you find.
Will you escape Metsänpeitto physically and mentally intact?

I loved everything about this game. From the over 200 horror games i've played, this goes straight into my top 10, together with an amnesia and visage.
It manages to maintain it's creepy atmosphere, it's unpredictability and the feeling of being lost throughout its whole playtime, which is impressive for a game that will take most people over 10 hours to finish. Those devs understand how horror works so well. Most horror games loose their immersion after a few hours when you start to understand the mechanics. From then on it just feels like a game too much and less like a horror experience - Not for this game!
The concept of when you die in one of the chases you don't get to try it again keeps you in this uneasy state of not knowing what to do the next time it happens. I actually have not figured it out still, so i lost all of them but that's fine. Also ... I'm not sure if the stupid bell is just a bully sometimes by ringing without actual danger around. All i know is it drove me insane more than it helped and i love it! When you're in a pitch black tunnel, in complete silence and then suddenly a lonely little bing from this bell telling you you're not alone but you don't know if that means you should run or stand still ... 10/10, would pee my pants again.
Besides that, the puzzles are fun, the different locations look super pretty and not being handheld while exploring is refreshing and rewarding when finding a new point of interest every time.
The only teeny tiny flaw imo is that the sounds volume is off sometimes ... some things are too loud, others too quiet. But that's really just minor details. Overall the music, voice acting and sound design in general was great as well.
So yeah.. what can I say ... I'm in love with this game and it pains me that it gets so little attention. More people need to know and play this! Looking forward seeing more of those devs. I really hope they will continue making games! <3

LEMPO is exactly the kind of game I was looking for. A game that you find once a year. A game that invites you to explore and rewards you with secrets, collectibles and lore clues. A game in which you are constantly tense due to the atmosphere and during which you still have to solve some very elaborate puzzles. A game that has interwoven its lore with the puzzles and the whole world around it. A game that makes me want to read through the pages I've found because I really want to put all the pieces of the lore together. A game for anyone who wants to complete 100% and also for anyone who simply wants to solve the puzzle as quickly as possible. This is one of the few games in a long time that has captivated me to complete it and collect all the Lighters, all the Mylings, all the souls etc., not least because of the wonderful graphic atmosphere and harmonious sounds.
°The Game°
We start as Paul in his office and are actually on our way to a well-deserved evening off. When we suddenly find ourselves lost in the forest, the story picks up speed. Once lost, the first thing to do is to get an overview, a feel for the map and work our way from clue to clue and puzzle to puzzle. Many of the puzzles are well thought out, original and have various levels of difficulty. As soon as you think, yes, the game should be coming to an end, it just keeps going and you're in a new area to explore and looking for stuff. Global puzzles ensure that you sometimes return to familiar areas and you can finally complete the missing piece for the unsolved puzzle, so that the mystical veil continues to lift and the secret of the world of Lempos is revealed piece by piece
°My Experience°
I was on stream with a few friends and viewers when unexpectitly the devs got on chat and apprciated that I was streaming. We all had a good chat and a good time. The devs are very friendly, humble and just enjoyed having someone play their masterpiece. The project is a matter close to the devs' hearts, which we have seen time and again in the coherence of the game. I hope you get all the recognition you deserve.
Thank you for enriching our lives a little!

A beautiful game, with a lot of effort and love behind it. It had an incredibly unique story in which I was completely immersed in. I completed Lempo in just about 15 hours, without any hints or walk-throughs whatsoever.
I WILL SAY THOUGH: You need an immense amount of patience to play this game. Being lost in a forest, you will do a LOT of just wandering around (Similar to Subnautica), however you are greatly rewarded with useful items for exploring around. The puzzles are very difficult and abstract at times but satisfying to complete.

An interesting exploration puzzle game that dips into Finnish mythology. It gave me SCP and Control vibes, while not being a carbon copy of either.
The puzzles are challenging but fair, with most of them either having the clue to a solution nearby or in readily-accessible documents, or taking a small bit of challenge to work out.
I enjoyed the fact that enemies were present but not constant, but a handful of chase sequences punctuated by more passive, static enemies that were easy to avoid once you knew what you were looking for.
Other reviews mention the constantly draining health/vitality stat. To be brutally honest, the accessibility of items to refill vitality is pretty fair if you explore well and you pay attention to your surroundings. There were a couple of points where I had to make careful choices about rationing my consumables, but within a short period of time I had refilled my stocks and was off again, so the pressure from the draining stat was more flavour than actual concern.
Do recommend playing with a Finnish friend alongside if you have one. The ability to have on-the-fly translations and explanations of terms and names is a great enhancement.

The game would be awesome and the graphics ARE good and it runs well. I just can't stand how your health constantly lowers. Should really be an option to turn it off. I bought the game to explore and follow the story. Not move at a snails pace because my characters health bottomed out or to die repeatedly because I wondered off exploring. I had to quit playing for now because it annoyed the crap outta me. Why play a game that just annoys you? I figured surely on easy I'd have more time to just wonder around and take in the sights. Guess not. I'll give it another try in a couple days.

Such an amazing atmospheric horror game! On it's core it is a walking simulator, but the deeper you get the deeper it also gets. I was constantly at the edge of my seat looking over my shoulder, waiting for something to pop out of the forest. The story starts off slow, but the more you find out the more you want to learn. The puzzles are very true to Finnish mythology in some aspects, and are more than just platforms for cheap jump-scares (which this game has practically none of, huge plus for that). There is a lot of content for you to find, even after already completing the game's main story. So the replay-ability is definitely there.
All in all, I would heavily recommend this game to everyone who is a fan of horror games with a unsettlingly creepy atmosphere rather than constant jump-scares after jump-scares. 10/10 (except for the jumping puzzle. Fuck that thing :Dddd )

I've played Lempo for about an hour and I had no idea what to expect going in. I was pleasantly surprised by what I found in the first hour. It was not what I was expecting and that is in a very good way. It feels like a mashup of the television series Lost, puzzles like Myst and cosmic horror in a forest. That is the best way I could describe this and I can't wait to jump into it again to see WTF is coming next!!
