I know, I know, this is a LEGO game, you can't do any big bad things here. And it probably shouldn't be that way, because although LEGO continues to prove that even older players can have a good time in a world made of bricks, the game is aimed primarily at children. Still, it's a shame that the story doesn't give the anti-heroes more space for their typical insidious expression. That's done wrong when the Justice League is kidnapped and even bigger villains than you get to Earth. What else is left for you then but to fight, thereby actually saving the world from even greater danger, and thus saving the Justice League itself.
On the surface, the story is quite cliché, but in principle it's not outright bad and at least it's not just a canonical rendition of one of the films. Moreover, what LEGO DC Super-Villains does well in its field is a rich range of characters. You can play as antagonists from the most famous sagas such as Lux Luther, Cat Woman, Joker or Deathshot and believe me, you won't even know some of the anti-heroes.
Added to this are the countless abilities that differ for each character, and even though some are similar, they definitely don't seem that way at first glance. And this is best seen during the gameplay itself, when you can control up to five characters at once within one mission. This makes the gameplay much more varied and the game doesn't seem like a mindless thresher whose goal is to demolish everything around it. This is also related to the improved combat system, which, thanks to the different abilities of the heroes, doesn't always seem identical. Each character can also trigger a pressure wave that can destroy most breakable objects around the character, including enemies, which speeds up both combat and overall progress and exploration of the environment, which otherwise maintains its original and, despite everything, still fun concept.
When it comes to gameplay mechanics, there's nothing surprising about yet another game based on Lego. But there's something about controlling a gallery of the most famous comic book villains. 35%

I've played this same game on PC, XBOX, Switch. all of them complete story mode and All the DLC unlocked. If my friends actually like Lego Games, I would tell them to play this game and i would pay for the game, free of charge.

The gameplay is basic but fun, focused mostly on smashing bricks, collecting studs and secrets, with very basic fights and very simple boss fights.
There is no fail state, if you die you just respawn and lose a couple of studs which you can pick back up.
The graphics while nothing advanced look great despite the game being nearly 10 years old.
The voice acting is spectacular, with a lot of the characters being voiced by their TV show/cartoon voice actors.
If you are the kind of person who doesn't like having to go through a level twice then you will hate 100%-ing the game because it is impossible to collect everything on the first go. Every level is designed with the idea of completing it once the proper way and then completing a second time in free play with whatever characters you want.
The DLC is fun but short. You can skip it if you want. Some of the DLC chacters start unlocked and can help speed up collecting minikits and gold bricks and the like.
Overal I give this an 8/10. It is one of the best lego games out there and if you are fan of the universe or lego games in general, it's worth buying.

This game took so long to 100%. I genuinely forgot what the campaign was even about. Like It took fucking years for me to 100% this. 100% this was a fucking a pain in the ass, It eventually started to feel more like work than gameplay. Would still recommend tho especially if you're a big DC fan like me.

Not as good as the earlier LEGO games, but it was still fun seeing the Justice League and the Legion of Doom team up reminded me of Justice League Unlimited. The DLCs were actually more enjoyable thanks to their shorter length, seeing unskippable cut scenes is painful.
