Isn't it ironic how a "kids game" from 2018, not only has a better plot than Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League. But that it plays better in every single way as well?
10/10 Not the Squad game we deserve, but the Squad game we needed.

I've played a few Lego games to 100% already and this is by far the best one yet.
— Story: It has a very creative story, I enjoyed it a lot and it's veeeeeery entertaining and fun! I liked it way better than any other lego games. Plus, I think it's amazing that even though it has the traditional 15-level format, it also includes 5-extra levels that reminded me of the first lego Batman game, with the extra levels telling the "other side" of the story.
— Open world: It is absolutely the best open world I've experienced in lego games. I really liked Lego Batman 2, but this takes it to a whole new level, with nods, jokes, references and story-rich content for every single building. It does more to make it feel like a city: It makes it feel like multiple cities. There's a clear distinction of every single one of the districts, it's really wonderful tbh.
— free roam: I wasn't a fan of the flying mechanic (it got worse in comparisson to previous games), but given the size of the map, it was equally entertaining to travel by vehicle, flying or doing fast travel. There were not only gold brick puzzles, but also fun little "quiz" challenges that were very entertaining and creative, it took me a while to figure out all of them but it didn't feel like something boring to me.
— free play: I am not very into this aspect, because I ran into very specific zones that would require to trigger certain actions to go through even though it's something that could have been done by a free play character (i.e. flying). The 5-minikit per level it's definitely an improvement though.
— Fight: In this game there's a new mechanic of "grabbing" and executing certain finishers. Despite that being cool the first few times, I have to be honest and say that I missed the good old smashing the hit button, because it wasn't as satisfactory as it was before. Also, the heat rays weren't as useful for combat anymore (I homelander-ed everyone in previous games, this time it wasn't possible)
— Character roster: I love the fact that we're getting rid of the character variations (i find them annoying on free play), there are only a few of them so I'm glad it wasn't packed with that. Asides from that, there's a very large roster with a ton of amazing characters, I ended up switching a lot given the fact that I just loved every single one (unlike some other games where I usually stuck with the same 5 characters for free play). Another positive aspect is the filters by abilities, those were extremely useful and great to check every character out!
— Caracter customization: hands down the best customization in a lego game. I usually don't spend a lot of time on those because it ends up being somehow boring for me, but I had a blast while making my characters. It's EXTREMELY filled with different aspects to make your own creations. It allows you to choose every single piece and ability that your character has, it was a blast and definitely a highlight of this game.
— DLC content: Although some of the missions were short, I enjoyed playing them, specially the Young Justice one. The characters were also amazing and very cool (i'm looking at you, constantine and zatanna). I still won't ever forgive that they made a whole model for Nightwing and Batgirl in YJ style AND THEN THEY WEREN'T PLAYABLE CHARACTERS.
— Bugs: I ran into a TON of bugs in this game, way more than i've ever found in any other game. Sometimes switching tabs would reset my visual settings, volume 0 would still play some sounds (such as glass breaking or car sounds), a character switch not loading properly (once i got bald aquaman lol) or even more annoying and game breaking ones where I had to restart the whole level because it didn't load properly.
Overall, I'd say this is my favorite lego game by far. It improved in a lot of aspects, it had SEVERAL issues that were annoying but weren't enough to ruin my experience. I had a great time getting playing to the 100%.

I know, I know, this is a LEGO game, you can't do any big bad things here. And it probably shouldn't be that way, because although LEGO continues to prove that even older players can have a good time in a world made of bricks, the game is aimed primarily at children. Still, it's a shame that the story doesn't give the anti-heroes more space for their typical insidious expression. That's done wrong when the Justice League is kidnapped and even bigger villains than you get to Earth. What else is left for you then but to fight, thereby actually saving the world from even greater danger, and thus saving the Justice League itself.
On the surface, the story is quite cliché, but in principle it's not outright bad and at least it's not just a canonical rendition of one of the films. Moreover, what LEGO DC Super-Villains does well in its field is a rich range of characters. You can play as antagonists from the most famous sagas such as Lux Luther, Cat Woman, Joker or Deathshot and believe me, you won't even know some of the anti-heroes.
Added to this are the countless abilities that differ for each character, and even though some are similar, they definitely don't seem that way at first glance. And this is best seen during the gameplay itself, when you can control up to five characters at once within one mission. This makes the gameplay much more varied and the game doesn't seem like a mindless thresher whose goal is to demolish everything around it. This is also related to the improved combat system, which, thanks to the different abilities of the heroes, doesn't always seem identical. Each character can also trigger a pressure wave that can destroy most breakable objects around the character, including enemies, which speeds up both combat and overall progress and exploration of the environment, which otherwise maintains its original and, despite everything, still fun concept.
When it comes to gameplay mechanics, there's nothing surprising about yet another game based on Lego. But there's something about controlling a gallery of the most famous comic book villains. 35%

This game took so long to 100%. I genuinely forgot what the campaign was even about. Like It took fucking years for me to 100% this. 100% this was a fucking a pain in the ass, It eventually started to feel more like work than gameplay. Would still recommend tho especially if you're a big DC fan like me.

The pinnacle of the lego super hero formula. This is a fun game and I played most of this with my son. Tons of things to do and characters to unlock. Wait until this is on sale and pick up this and all the DLC.

18 Hours, completed main story, Lego games are among some of my favorite games, played them since childhood, and this one is amazing, hope we see more like it in the coming future, onto the next game for me.
- Among the features in this game, one of the best (imo) is the whole main protagonist being you with your own custom character and able to absorb all powers as well mix & match them is amazing, the only limit is pretty much your imagination when it comes to the customization and the amount of matches you can make with all the powers is pretty awesome, I enjoyed it and I hope you do as well.
(PSST, if you have the option to use a controller on PC; I recommend doing just that.)

If you love both DC and Lego games, then you will love this game, no question. It's very well written, and, despite being Lego, the heroes and the villains are all (fairly - looking at you Joker!) true to character. Furthermore, they didn't shy away from how close Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy are, which wins points in my book.
