Hamilton, a rich industrialist who owns a hunting manor in Northern Canada, reports several cases of vandalism perpetrated against his property. Da es gerade super billig im Angebot ist... sage ich schon nach nur 90Minuten Spielzeit..
Schlagt zu ! Die Atmosphäre ist richtig spannend und bedrohlich. Man ist mitten im nirgendwo... ein Schneesturm nimmt einem fast die komplette Sicht..es ist kalt, hier und da findet man einen Unterschlupf um sich kurz aufzuwärmen und ein wenig zu looten und andauernd dieses Gefühl..IRGENDWAS stimmt hier einfach nicht ! Was ist hier nur los ? Beobachtet mich jemand ?? Nur sehr wenige Spiele haben es in so kurzer Zeit geschafft dieses angenehm unangenehme Gefühl in mir zu erzeugen! Ich werde diese Review noch weiterführen... wie gesagt, das Spiel ist gerade quasi umsonst für den Preis. Freue mich schon hart auf die nächste Session! ...to be continued....

Ich fand das Spiel ziemlich gut, habe es fast zu Ende gespielt. Nur fast, denn am Ende kommt Kampf/Flucht, ziemlich schwierig und ich mag das grundsätzlich nicht so. Das passt aber auch irgendwie da das Spiel auch als "Horrorspiel" gilt, zuvor handelt es sich hauptsächlich um ein Detektivspiel in etwas gruseliger Umgebung (Schneesturm, unwirtliche Landschaft, verlassenes Dorf). Mir hat gefallen, dass es lange nicht viele/ kaum Horrorelemente wie Kämpfe etc. hat, sondern einfach eine gruselige, rätselhafte Atmosphäre und Umgebung. Das habe ich sehr genossen, man kann überall herumfahren/-laufen, entdeckt viel. Überall findet man Tagebücher oder andere Dokumente der Bewohner, sodass sich langsam ein Bild über die Geschichte entwickelt, man kann Hypothesen anstellen, was passiert sein könnte. Alles landet im Journal, das sich mehr und mehr füllt. Ich fand das Spiel ziemlich spannend/interessant und es hat auch gut funktioniert, Steuerung und Führung der Figur sind gut. Lange Zeit habe ich keine Lösungshilfen benötigt, dann nur manchmal / vereinzelt. Die meisten Rätsel kann man selbst lösen, das Spiel führt einen gut.
Das Ende kam dann etwas plötzlich und ging schnell und ist nicht so mein Fall. Aber OK. Ich werde mir wahrscheinlich auch das Nachfolgespiel ansehen.

Tolle Atmosphäre, die hat mich gleich in ihren Bann gezogen, es erinnnert an The Long Dark ist aber deutlich kürzer. Daher eher was für zwischendurch, da es auch nur einen Spielmodi gibt.
Konnte es auf dem Steam Deck gut spielen, hat sich aber gelegentlich aufgehängt und die Errungenschaften waren gänzlich geblockt leider.

It's a really nice game with a cool story, I'd recommend taking the snowbike as soon as you get out the Ice Cave where it gets dark, since youll mainly use the passages, until the wendigo chase, wich are hard and impossible to drive through with the car.
It's basically a game-version of a stranger things-like-ish story but for kids. I really enjoyed the game.
One thing tho I don't really like, but thats just my opinion, is that the character, Carl, as soon as you unlock the Bolt Action Smle MK. II or "Lee Enfield", whenever you use it, you can shoot it 3 times, and only after shooting 3 times, he actually chambers, and the bullet count is a bit confusing. And I think the devs even think its a Semi- Auto weapon, since in the story it is referred as one.
other than that, great game, my thumbs up.
