I really enjoyed it but the thing is that it was really SHORT and story was a bit lacking. I enjoyed the 18+ patch, which made it better. But hontestly I would only RECOMMEND THIS FOR THE PRICE. Like just get a sukara viusal novel.

I feel this was better in artwork and words compared to king of bali. i won't lie its still short so keep that in mind when you choose to purchase it.

I played King of Bali before this game, and scored all four girls in the space of a couple of hours. Naturally, I came away from that feeling pretty smug and smooth.
Then I played King of Phoenix. Only scored one girl. Now I'm sad and realise that King of Bali lured me into a false sense of confidence.
10/10, devs.

King of Phoenix is a hentai visual novel where the main character, Dan Miller, is laid over in Phoenix, Arizona while awaiting for some of his fancy camera bags to clear TSA. Unfortunately, he has to wait around before continuing onward to Hawai’i. As Dan, you’ll meet a couple of women, and you’ll be able to make various choices as the dialog continues, which will change the variable outcome(s). It’s kind of limited here, and the story is somewhat bland because of a lack of content and flow. It’s not bad, but could be more interesting, I feel. A few grammatical errors here and there, but all in all, it’s a decent visual novel for the price. There are a handful of CGs that can be accessed after acquiring them through the story.
The art in the game is pretty well done overall. The premise of the story is also not bad, but I do feel it could have been built upon a little bit more. Felt a little shallow and hurried. Some more scenes, choices and/or routes would have made this feel more complete, in my opinion. Still, again, a rather reasonable price range for the amount of goodies inside.
Pros
Nice artwork in the game. I would have liked to see a few more scenes!
Good overall setting and story potential, but feels bland because of underdevelopment. I wish it were a bit more detailed.
There were some choices that influence the eventual outcome and ending(s). Some small bit of replayability for various endings and achievements tied to them.
The women you meet in the game have interesting personalities and backstory. Again, wish it were a tiny bit more detailed and fluid.
Cons
It left me wanting a bit more out of each story. Like I just scratched the surface. There should have been a little bit more development in each one.
I would have liked more variation in the story, music, and overall setting. It kind of grows on you then dies out too fast. Just a bit too short for my liking.
The skip feature should have had an option to not skip over lines not read yet. I was not really able to utilize it and be sure I read over everything in the concurrent playthrough.
A few errors in grammar. Maybe five or six that I noticed. Not glaring ones, and it was easy to understand what was meant in each case.
Conclusion
For the price, this game is probably worth grabbing. I am on the fence about it since, while it’s good, it feels like it needed to cook down and simmer a bit longer to get a nice tasting literary dish. It was kind of average for me - one I’d gladly be more willing to save for an in-between recommendation. Still, since it’s not terrible and just feels slightly incomplete, I’m going to tentatively recommend it. Free 18+ dlc is always a plus in my book. Handle with care. Grab this on sale if you can!
