Jump Force had truly impressive potential to be a game of the year, and it boasted a dedicated fan base capable of driving its growth and improvement through updates. I enjoyed the game and the many modifications available for it. But Bandai killed it.

Extremely fun without the story. Best character customization too. Would love a seq with more characters and storylines dome right

great game just wished they kept the support going

Great idea but suffered from a limited execution
Jump force could have definitely been better in mostly every aspect for sure. However it was still semi fun for a short while. It really is too bad that it got de-listed due to licensing issues & that it wasn't pushed the direction it should have been guided toward instead from the start of its development.

So I had this game on Xbox a few years ago but only played it a handful of times. I decided I wanted it in my Steam library, so here I am $255 later, with the ultimate edition.
This game is legitimately a lot of fun (in my opinion anyway), I wish it had gotten a longer shot at life with more DLC (however there are plenty of character mods for that).
Now don’t expect a super in-depth game mechanically like a Sparking Zero (Teankaichi), or a comprehensive story, if you go into it without these expectations you will be pleasantly surprised.
What you will get is the ability to create your own character within a real life/anime mash up multiverse. If you told me that was possible as a kid I would’ve burned you at the stake.
In that sense this game is similar to Xenoverse. I always wanted a game where I could fight as my favourite Yugioh characters and they have done Yugi and Kaiba justice.
I would recommend downloading a 100% save file so you have access to all cosmetics and attacks, as the in-game store is offline.
Maybe I am in the minority with the combat, as I enjoyed Battle of Z and J Stars, but as a pick up, put down fighting game, to have a couple of rounds it is very enjoyable.
Should you pay $200+? No, well maybe. For most it’s a no, but if you love the included anime’s like me, then it can be. All that said, it is definitely not as bad as most people would have you believe.
P.S. you can still get all the delisted dlc, with certain, methods.
