One of the world’s most beloved brick-breaking games is back! The all-new Jardinains! takes players on a rollicking journey through countless unique and exciting levels. Break bricks, dodge flowerpots, and keep endless waves of mischievous ‘nains from ruining your day!
Jardinains! is a novel take on the classic brick-breaker genre, where players use their ball and paddle to break bricks. Players earn points and useful powerups by breaking bricks and bouncing ‘nains. ‘Nains are cute little gnomes that live among and inside the bricks. They’re none too happy about the player’s efforts to clear out their bricks, and they’ll try to stop the player with everything they’ve got–flowerpots, anchors, baseballs, smartphones, fancy cakes, and anything else they can get their hands on! Use the ball to knock ‘nains off their bricks and bounce them with the paddle to earn extra points and powerups.
Players can choose to complete challenges in an assortment of hand-crafted level packs, or they can try Endless Mode and play an infinite stream of procedurally-generated levels. Highly customizable playstyle options and accessibility settings make Jardinains! an fun for everyone, whether your style is relaxed, intense, or somewhere in-between.
Come play today! The ‘nains are waiting!

Kurzgefasst:
Pro:
-alter Klassiker
-Orginalität
-kein überflüssiger Schnickschnack
-simpel, man findet sich schnell zurecht
-Ein-Mann-Arbeit, der viel reingesteckt hat
-ein Geheimtipp für zwischendurch
-lustig, bis hin zu herausfordernd

I've played this game years ago, when i was a kid and i laughed my ass off about the midgets called "Jardinains", throwing flower pots at your base and giggling upon getting hit by one or when you lost your ball. Even the helium-voiced-like screams whenever they fly with high-speed when striked with a charged ball and exploding at the end when you hit them a few times. Always gave me some nice hours.
One of the older classics when modern-age games like this weren't that common now finally came back after a long waited time. This game is optimal if you bored and just want to play casually, having a small laugh. The "Nains" here are the trademark of the game, making it absolutely worth of buying it.
I am very pleased, that this type of games still exists. No need for any fancy stuff, just a plain, old-classic game where you just have to hit a block until you finished and try not to die.
Honestly i am not that familiar with Patreon but i supported the dev a few times, whereas he even got my pseudonym in the credits (Thanks for that!)
The game itself:
Just like its predecessor, your aim is to clear a field full of different type of bricks. The bricks can come in different shapes, colours and varietys. The challenging part is that these "Nains" are showing up, and throwing stuff to disturb you and you have to dodge these objects. Power-Ups can randomly appear once you hit a brick or when you managed to hit the Nain a few times until they pop into an power-up.
What sounds easy and boring can instead turned into a mass disaster, when you reached a level, set the difficulty high, with dozens of nains, all of them throwing stuff at you literally any second or when you have multiple power-ups active at the same time. It is difficult and you may die quick, but it is absolutely funny!
You can set the settings as you want and choose any level, even the legacy levels of the predecessors are available. None of the old mechanics are gone. Everything is just like before, just visually polished and of course a lot funnier.
The only thing that i currently miss is an editor. In J2, you could get to it by pressing "E". It didn't work for now. Either there is none or it is hidden. I don't know, but thats a must-have, so i hope the dev updates the game with it soon enough. :)
Me, as an elderly, who played this years ago appreciate this game and its work and i can absolutely recommend this and i am happy that this golden pearl still exists.
Small tipp to the dev:
In the "Help"-Screen where the skull is shown, the Arabic word for "No" would be "la" ( لا ) instead of "al" (article). :)
Pros:
-Old classic game, that is very old
-Original, with its characteristic "Nains"
-no useless fancy-stuff, just plain board-game with its gimmicks
-very simple, literally everyone will quickly know how to play
-One-Man-Work, who put a lot of work
-absolutely a golden must-have of the casual games
-very funny and challenging at the same time
Con:
Currenly no editor by pressing "E" (Not sure if included, but if not, i would be glad).
