In the final days of the Inverse, you must help the Archaeologist recover the last remaining memories before they are lost forever. Fly through ancient skies and abandoned oceans to discover the lost history of this fading realm, where entire civilizations have died, yet their gods still wander. InnerSpace is an exploration flying game set in the Inverse, a world of inside-out planets where gravity pulls outward instead of in. InnerSpace began as a project among college friends and evolved into a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2014. After years of development, PolyKnight is proud to welcome you to the Inverse. Your greatest journey is within.

Bought this dirt cheap and thought I'd see if the keyboard/mouse controls are really that awful. Oh lord yes, yes they are. Somewhat better after I rebound the keys to what my fingers thought they should be.
It's still more of a "fly around aimlessly and confused, maybe stumble into stuff to progress at some point" sim. But I mean. That doesn't have to be a bad thing.

Once you get the hang of the orientation and the way the presentation of the game is laid out, the game is actually a fun little hidden gem. not perfect by any stretch of the word, but seasoned "weird game" players will find something fun with this

I'm surprised at the mixed reviews. Reading through them, my guess is that Inner Space requires a controller and a strong stomach. If you don't get sick easily from games and you like the idea of flying for exploration's sake, you'll likely enjoy this game.
I think the sheer number of collectibles is unnecessary, but the core gameplay is fun and it feels good to improve your skills. Took me about 4 hours, ran perfect on Steam Deck, looked beautiful and unique, really scratched an itch for a non-combat, not-on-rails flight game.

The name says it all INNER SPACE. The way the world is right now, this game is perfect for relaxation and lowering of your cortisol levels. Highly recommend for people arguing about politics or in a dark place. Find some inner peace with Inner Space.

An exploration game that feels a bit like Flower or Journey. The flight mechanics are fun, the worlds have plenty of nooks and crannies to explore, and the whole vibe is generally pretty chill. Plays great on the Steam Deck.

don't look at negative comments and buy at sale if you have a game pad
it delivers exactly what it promises. there's nothing that ruins the fun, maybe the intro was boring.
controls aren't bad at all. the atmosphere is excellent. you can just do what you want. hints are natural. sound effects are well made.
so much more pleasant than big studio games

While I agree with others who played the game that the control of the movements can be a little imprecise for many tight angles, this is truly an interesting and unique experience, though the relic that let you look like a certain boss from Kirby Return to Dreamland was extremely needed to manage the space around me better thanks to its ability, that and it was for me the most cool looking one, but most of the others were still very cool, and there were also others that felt also like they could be transforming into an original strange and menacing mechanical boss at any time, above all with the right custom color or even their basic one, that is also to remark how cool almost all of them are
