UI sucks
Graphics are okay
Camera is jank
But the voice chat let me scream at random people while flying by at 250 km/h.

I want to give some constructive feedback to the developer. Unfortunately, Initial Drift Online did not meet my expectations, especially because of the server issues. If there were an option to host a session and invite friends, or even offline missions, the experience could be much better. At the moment, the game lacks structure in terms of missions, which makes the player feel lost and unsure of what to do in the world. You mostly find yourself driving up and down a single road without clear objectives, and even when you are kicked or moved, it is not clear whether you will reach a specific location or goal. I truly wish you the best of luck and hope to see more content, better organization, and improvements in future updates. Thank you.

If you grew up watching Initial D, shifting imaginary gears at 4 AM while "Eurobeat" blasted in your headphones, or binge watching those grainy, low res Japanese touge videos on YouTube; man, Initial Drift Online is your straight ticket back home. But let’s be real, get one thing straight before you step in: this game won’t be nice to you.
Forget the comfort of Forza where you can just "rewind" your mistakes. And forget that Need for Speed arcade style where you bounce off walls and defy physics. Here, it’s just you, your wheel (or your keyboard, if you’re struggling), the endless scream of your tires, and those ruthless guardrails constantly winking at you. One millisecond late? A bad counter steer? It’s over, buddy; you’re now related to that guardrail, and you’ll be best friends with the trees at the bottom of the cliff.
When it comes to tuning, there’s no "just throw money at it and get the best engine" deal. You have to mess with every single setting. You can live out that classic JDM soul from the rims to the wings, but the real magic is under the hood. Even the smallest suspension tweak changes how you dive into a corner. Sometimes you’ll find yourself spending more time killing hours in the garage than actually racing, just to build your own legend.
The online community is surprisingly chill. Instead of those types in other games trying to ram you at every corner, you find people here who are actually in love with this culture. You’ll see a guy pull up next to you after you’ve smashed into a rail just to say, "Bro, you went into that corner too hot, back up your braking point a bit." That vibe in the servers, and the feeling of a midnight convoy with total strangers, is something else.
Graphics aren’t exactly mind blowing, I’ll give you that. But in the pitch-black darkness of Akina, with "The Top" blaring while you’re sliding through those narrow passes, you don't even notice the graphics. The car handling might make you go "what kind of mess is this?" and swear at first; but the moment you figure out the weight transfer and nail a perfect corner, the rush is unlike anything else.
In short: it’s a game with soul that humbles anyone claiming to "know everything about drifting," requires serious patience, but pays off big. If you’ve got your tofu ready, come on through see you at the top of Akina.

The game is good, faithful to Initial D, it's a shame it's full of bugs, and these bugs vary in different regions. They should fix them and add more content, such as:
More teleportation points in different areas.
More car customization options.
Higher payouts on different mountains, since Irohazaka is the highest paying, and it's a waste to play around with a lost tofu only to end up winning 70 yen.
Fixing car collisions; sometimes you're going fast and your car goes flying. Also, the gear changes are buggy and you can't do anything unless you downshift manually.
And there are many more bugs, like the minimap; players appear outside of it, the chat is buggy in different regions, game optimization, more options when inviting someone to a race, and more starting points, since you can only race from the top and not from the bottom or other points, etc. It's a great game, but I think it should be given more attention and polished a bit more; it's quite fun.

Honestly when i read the reviews for this game when i got it for 100% off, it didnt look bright but still downloaded and played the game. I've played a lot of racing games before but this one felt a bit weird at first. Sure there's a lot of bugs that needs to be looked at and fixed but looking past that and beyond the gameplay of the first car you get. It definitely gets better to play the more you play it.
Give it a shot 100%. Ignore the haters and try to look past the bugs. The gameplay is skill based so you're just gonna have to get better from playing it.

gonna be so honest, this game is horribly designed. as someone said in the chat, this was made just to promote their music. the controls, camera, and driving mechanics are janky at best, and unplayable at worst. the achievements are unattainable (1 lvl per hour of gameplay, and lets be honest, nobody is playing this for 1k hours). the lack of chat filter was CRAZY bad. all in all, i did enjoy the jank, and crashing into my friends. only recommending it because it was free. definitely would not ever pay for this
