Forget everything you know about drifting. Inertial Drift tears up the racing rule book with innovative twin-stick controls, completely re-imagined driving mechanics and a roster of fiercely individual cars.
Set in a 90's retro future, Inertial Drift is an Arcade Racer with a devastatingly unique handling model and unbelievably satisfying twin-stick drift mechanics. Inertial Drift offers a whole new level of accessibility and challenge to the arcade racing genre - for a driving experience genuinely unlike anything you've played before.
The left stick is used for steering, while the right hand Drift Stick gives you independent control over your drift. Intuitive for new players and uniquely challenging for pros.

The attack point will come in the five consecutive hairpin curves ahead.

Do not play this game until you put on a eurobeat playlist.
Other than that, this game is well worth the purchase.

Inertial Drift is a very enjoyable racing game that focuses on twin stick drifting.
These twin stick controls are very handy for drifting and easy to master.
Graphically the game is a bit neon / futuristic inspired, together with the nice soundtrack this comes out very well with the high speed action.
the game offers the players a fairly high range of up to 16 vehicles to race with around 20 routes over various different locations.
Also included are several single player modes and online multiplayer.
You can also play the game via split screen or remote play together.

Amazing game.
Can I preface this review by stating first and foremost, regardless of physics, style, realism and or lack of - This game is fun. Very fun.
There has not been such an innovation in racing games since Forza introduced haptic feed back to represent brakes locking and wheels sliding. I compare it to this even though both games are the furthest on each end of the spectrum of SIM - arcade racer. The reason was, the new way to play was so fresh and new it made me want to keep coming back for more, It really was a "new" racing game.
Inertial Drift is what that was to Sims, this is to arcade racers. A new way to play. It's fun and fresh, The left stick is steering like normal (all through small control of turns. Imagine changing lanes on a highway, that kind of turning) then the right stick controls angle you wish to drift,. Whether now you are thinking "wow, that's sounds cool" or "are you kidding? That sounds so gay unenjoyable" you owe it to yourself to try this game. This is purely 110% arcade. Please do not expect any realism here. If that sounds like it will disappoint you (what are you? an accountant?) then ,, No, please still try it. Its fun, trust me.
Graphics are super refreshing , also being cell shaded the game has a great anime feeling. It's a shame they don't have the initial D license as this would be a killer use of it. I personally have ingame BGM set to 0 (not that it's bad.) and has initial D soundtracks playing in the back No joke. It's amazing .
This game does a fantastic job of making you feel like you are going fast. From the wind visual effects on screen of the audio effects of the wind as you go faster. It all marries up for an awesome sense of "fast"
The gameplay itself and how the car "feels" is great. When you start to grip you get a very good sense of it. Like wise when you drift it gets very slip. All in all you have a great sense of drifting playing this game.
One more point. If you like playing leader boards, this will satisfy you. I gave myself a goal of getting in the top 1000 on the first track in the second car. For the next hour I did old, play until you make one mistake, then RESTART repeat, over. Over. Over, and over. I loved every second of it.
If you read this whole thing and still do not download it, I can only assume your computer is half a potato.? Try the free demo that takes up little space, after all, What are you waiting for.
