a good starter that gets me into neptunia for first time. good storyline, good gameplay (but be warned that this game comes in little grindy unless you wanna pay for DLC for fasten your progress), has cute characters and such. the game is semi VN because the game is story focused rather than gameplay focused. and much more. i would recommend for this one as someone who wants to get to know what neptunia is.
but ps : Blanc is best waifu, change my mind.

This game is about what if the console wars were voluptuous anime girls?
The writing REEKS of early 2000's slang and comedy from that era, and yknow what?
I am all for it, this reminds me of such simpler times, the game has so much joy and personality to it
It's pretty simple too, basic attacks, specials, combos, and yet theres enough there that you can get really good at it
The DLC proves this hands down, it is VERY difficult compared to main gameplay.
This is a mustplay, hands down

It is a decent port but I still recommend playing this and the other Neptunia games with a controller since the keyboard/mouse controls are a bit weird. I liked the story but other than that, the game does get repetitive and grindy.

R.I.P the Neptunia Franchise, not suited for the modern audience.

I am NOT a JRPG guy, but this was a blast! The characters are what really sells it, and there isn't a dull one in the bunch! The combat is also pretty fun in my opinion, though take that with a grain of salt.
Some people say the game is very grindy, but that was absolutely not the case in my playthrough. Once in a blue moon, I'd face a boss I couldn't beat on the first attempt, but after not even 10 minutes of grinding, I'd be overleveled. I didn't even need to grind for the last boss at all!
I do have criticism in regards to the Plan System, which every player should be forewarned about... because I wasn't! In short, "plans" are crafting recipes. The problem is that some of these plans ("Add Enemies") can only be unlocked on certain chapters, and there is a cascading effect if you do not unlock these, causing a lot of things you want to be completely inaccessible to you. This wouldn't be a problem for the KNOWING player, but I was unfortunate enough to only find out about this on Chapter 7! I never got to see Marvy's bikini in-game!

Don't be fooled by the cute anime girls and fourth-wall-breaking antics. This is a surprisingly deep and grind-heavy RPG experience that will chew you up and spit you out if you take it lightly. It's obviously not going to be to everyone's tastes - some will be put off by the amount of required grinding, some will be put off by all the jiggly anime boobs, and some will be put off by Neptune being essentially the Japanese equivalent of Deadpool - but if you enjoy (or can look past) all three of those things, you'll find a very engaging RPG that you can easily get 100+ hours of playtime out of.

It's a good time.
Defo suffers from bad early game, and grindy at times, but it's a charming time, and you can get some good fun out of the combat and so.
Don't expect something incredible, but with the price of admision, specially on sales, this is worth trying.
Known side effects: you will develop brainrot towards either Neptune, Noire, Vert or Blanc (I did with Vert).
