Hydra Lists
Welcome to Hydra Lists! This program will help you create and organize your roll tables for all of your table top needs. Your roll tables can reference each other, allowing you to create interesting and detailed results instantly.
For example, if you wanted to easily make random characters, you could link a first name list, personality list, and an occupation list together to create a fully fleshed out character in the blink of an eye.
.
Since there is no limit to how many lists you can link, you can create complex lists referencing lists to get all kind of results, like in this case the outline of a family house.
With steam workshop support, you can upload your libraries of lists for others to use or download lists to save yourself time making them.
Feature Overview:
- Link lists together through references, allowing you to design unique and interesting roll tables that can pull results from other lists.
- Incorporate formulas into your lists. These formulas can be as simple or as complex as you like. Let the program do the calculation work!
- Once you make a list, simply press a button and get the randomly generated result. Tired of clicking? You can generate dozens to hundreds of results from a list.
- Export your lists into a multiple page PDF file with special coloring for different lists for you to use offline or to show to others.
- Want to keep it simple? You can export your content to a text file instead!
- Organize your books into Libraries, allowing you to better keep track of your content
- Want to share with others? You can export and import libraries to files, or upload your lists to the Steam Workshop and let others see your work.
- Minor utilities such as a dice roller that can incorporate formulas and an initiative tracker to help keep the game flowing
- Support for international keyboards. This is based on your operating systems language setting
- Support for letters and symbols in other languages, such as Português, Español, and 中国人
- Labels in several native languages, with more languages being added each update
- A Help Menu, containing video tutorials to walk you through how the program works

I don't normally leave reviews because I hate being perceived, but figured it seemed like the thing to do considering how useful I find this. I play a lot of solo and otherwise GM-less ttrpg games. This has been perfect for reducing the amount of rolling and books I have to keep open. I especially like how I can pull results from across multiple tables with a single click of a button.

Very very early impressions. So far no bugs and it does exactly what is show on the video, screenshots and storepage.
I wish there were some quality of life changes(already suggested), for instance to make a percentile based table with different weights the math is all on the user (the app can normalize chances equally for all itens on a list, but thats it)- but aside from that sort of thing it works very well on all points implemented. Really nice.
I hope for more features, better ease of use and so on, but its pretty good on the current early access features alone.

Little Edit: Changing the review to positive as the updates i was hoping for are being worked on, waiting hopefully for them
Ive had this software for a couple months, checked on it, had some issues and been waiting for the dev to update and bring something to the table that's not on simple, free to download excel tables or online tables.. He did not deliver and so I will be refunding it.
I can't recommend you get this at this point, and it doesnt seem like the dev intends to add anything..Such a shame, a lot of potential here but wasted.
As for technicalities, it does what it does.. Its a table generator with randomness, no variables (which I asked for months ago and is the only thing that would make this worthwhile compared to other options on the webz), no nothing.. just a library that you create and then roll on it.. There isnt even tab-fill functionality, which at this point is adding insult to injury. I think I have this a fair chance waiting for 7 months for something to change.. But it didnt.. So do not buy.

Wonderful piece of software.
I've been looking for something that allows me to have random, editable and expansive storylines, paired off with Fire Pro Wrestling World. This fits the bill perfectly!
I've only noticed one bug so far, that causes a feature to not show up sometimes. That aside, It's worked great.
I can foresee other uses, where this software will come in handy.

Have you ever felt like the universe is listening to you? A few weeks before I purchased hydra lists I had a problem that I envisioned this exact product (well not exact) It was a "wouldn't it be great if" sort of moments. Well, guess what?
It is great! Useful for TTRPG fans and ADHD heads alike. Thanks Isaac.

This makes nested lists simple. The only downside is there is no option to make a list of arbitrary size (since the maximum is a d100). Perfect for random encounters but the d10,000 wild magic table can't be done here (yet, I hope).
If you like nested tables but don't want to waste time on calculating the result, this is the program for you.

Can't recommend because created tables dissapear after a while from the file, despite making multiple backup files and trying to read from them. The files look ok, when you open them in the notepad the data is there, but the software does not see the contents of the file. Support did not respond. A lot of work was wasted to no effect. Shame, because the software seems ok.
EDIT: I guess II just made my tables way too complex with far too many sub-levels and it causes issues. Should be a warning of some kind in the software about it. Other than that, for this price it's an ok soft
